We want to thank all my wonderful clients for being so supportive of us being closed for the week of Christmas so we can rest and recharge and spend time with our families. We hope all of you have a wonderful holiday and stay safe and healthy. URGENT!!!!! Due to a high rate of respiratory illness in our staff we are having to close for the day. If you have an emergency please contact the El Paso Animal Emergency Center 915-545-1148. We hope to resume normal business hours tomorrow Tuesday December 5th. We apologize for the inconvenience. Stay healthy!!!

We will be taking an extended break over labor day weekend. We will be closed from Thursday August 31st-Monday September 4th. This will hopefully allow our staff to take a much needed break. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. 🐈❓🐕 Why is dental health for pets so *doggone* important? And why can dental disease be so *catastrophic*? Your pet's mouth acts as a gateway of sorts to the rest of their body. Any infection there can actually invade the bloodstream and infect the heart, lungs, brain, and/or kidneys, sometimes causing fatal damage.

👩‍⚕️The best defense against dental disease is to work with your veterinarian's care and recommendations to monitor and maintain your pet's dental health... and keeping a close eye at home doesn't hurt, either! ..

🐾It’s officially dental awareness month! Here are some symptoms to be aware of:
🦷Drooling excessively 🤤
🦷Bad breath 😷
🦷Decreased appetite 🫠
🦷Facial swelling 😶
🦷Oral discomfort/toothache 😖

If your fur baby is experiencing any of these symptoms, call us NOW to schedule an appointment. But, in general, your babies might need a cleaning! Just like we do every 6 months! Let’s continue to spread awareness and keep those toothers clean! 🐾

Candidate must be full-time (unable to accept students)
• Preferred but NOT required:
have at least one year experience in: general knowledge on vaccine protocols, radiology, blood draws, IV catheter placement and medications.
• Available to work weekends/holidays
• Bi-lingual (preferred)
• Experience in assisting with surgical operations/performing dentals (preferred)

This is a fast paced environment so candidate must be able and willing to work quickly and efficiently. Candidate must be team oriented, able to perform well under pressure, multi-task, and detail oriented.

Now is the time to start thinking about anxiety medication for the fourth of July. If your dog gets anxiety from fireworks call us now for the best choice for anxiety. Plan ahead as the 4th is over the weekend and we will also be closed on Friday July 1st. Have a safe and Happy 4th of July!!!

Good afternoon everyone! The vet field for decades has faced devastating loses of life and passion for those of us in this profession. Right now the veterinary field has the third highest su***de rate out of any and all professions out there. But right now we have a the opportunity to change that! I submitted an idea and plan that if chosen can change the landscape of mental health not only in the veterinary field but with mental health organizations world wide. But I need your help. Read my suggestion and idea and vote for it. Spread the word and help me change what should of been done a long time ago. Everyone needs L.O.V.E.

A lot has gone on in the last couple of months here at ELVC that it has been hard to post let alone post it all! From expected mother to be all the way to saying goodbye to those starting new chapters in their lives we have been non-stop here at the clinic! We can only imagine y'all being in the same boat! With that being said we are in search for hard working and passionate people who want to work in the veterinary field to join our staff here at ELVC. We are looking to hire and fill the positions of Kennel Assistants, Veterinary Assistants and Customer Care Representatives. Previous veterinary/medical background is preferred but not required. National Heartworm Month was in April and we had a lot of people take advantage of getting their fur friends tested and making sure that they were on heartworm preventatives! Remember, heartworm is spread by mosquitos and around these parts it is a year long battle so make sure that they are protected year round.
