Our new photographer Big O did a fantastic job!

I will say that with the increase of dogs, communication and updates have been very hard to keep up with.

We've been restructuring the business, there will be changes here and there and our prices will increase a bit to help accommodate the independent workers who will cover areas such as social media updates/content, organization, and more.

At a point I was up to 97 k9s total in the program.

While business is thriving the focus has been to dial down the volume here lately.

Building a bond with each of the k9s in my program is key to my brand I've built and will continue building.

If you noticed, the heat is rising!

The realistic aspects is summer is coming and our business is moving to a morning/evening block schedule to protects all k9s against the heat.

6 am to 11am

4pm to 8 pm

12 pm to 3 pm will be service k9 in training store/public exposure work for temperature controlled environments.

Also, due to the number of last minute cancellations, reschedule situations,

Our new policy ( effective 4/19/2022) is no call no show; still counts as session

12 hours notice 50% session costs applied

24 hours notice 25% session cost applied

36 hours or more; no cost applied.

These two lovely French Mastiffs have came so far!

In around 8 one hour sessions , Roxy and Romy have not only desensitized most of their aggressive tendacies under a 'NO' Boundary command, but experienced both being off leash in a dog park for the FIRST TIME today!

They have excelled so far and after a few more sessions will move into more high level commands/specialized training.

Unfortunately, being a one person small business, and a seizure/chronic nausea patient, Ruff Around the Edges K9 Training is down and out for all of today atleast.

Yesterday I made it threw a few sessions and started having very bad nausea, which caused me to not keep my seizure meds down.

After 4 hospital trips in a week, I have to realize I'm not superman, and at 70+ k9s in the program, I've been pushing myself 7 days a week for multiple weeks.

During the hot summer months, we will use this as opportunity to lighten the schedule and do more of touchup/exercising k9s coming out of their basic/advanced obedience, and to finish working all my service k9s in training.

Heading towards the fall we will re-gear everything to be able to handle different expansion points, hiring staff, and much more.

For now, new intakes will be based solely off an old client finishing, that way the schedule doesn't get overloaded.

Thank you to all who have been patient whenever needed to reschedule from health issues.

On the bright side, Roxy tackled off leash in the dog park yesterday and it was amazing seeing this k9 reach her goals.

From controlled playtime, to first swims, to teaching even small k9s to walk on treadmills.

Round here, our program is only growing and developing further.

At almost 70 k9s in our program, the days have gotten jam-packed with lessons, and it's an amazing sight watching all of the Ruff Around the Edges K9 Squad progress and learn the whole aspect of our training!
