Life Update! 🚨Here only for the food? 🥘 Swipe to the end! We’ve been busy soaking in all the love around here now that Brewed Up Papa is visiting for the first time since the first leg of our big move! For those that don’t know, we are both from South Louisiana. Together, we lived in Vegas for 5 years. The last year, Myles recently took a job in New York. We kept our home in Vegas but moved back with family in Louisiana…things are very much underway for the next destination but for now ➡️ We are here; the somewhere in between phase, the part of the journey that we get to soak up and appreciate for what it is. So many times I think we are in such a hurry to the finish line, we forget about the run and to live in what it took to get there. 🤔
In 2 months, we have settled in with much needed family time and started really seeing things more clearly. The dogs have adapted to their new routine, new rules and freedom, new experiences and new dog friends all under one roof. Our fur family is growing by feathers…We have added chickens, turkeys, guinea, and ducks. We want to create a more self sustainable lifestyle for us and the dogs and give more purpose to the home stead. We had these things in mind for the future but we realize that time doesn’t wait for anyone. Plans are just plans until you make them purposeful actions.
Brewed Up Papa, knew what our life already looked like up close and from a far but he didn’t know how things really looked here; inside— until he arrived. He was greeted with loud barking to announce his return, the sound of little paws tapping, and tails wagging. He took some time to admire and learn about the new feathery flock, eat his requested home cooked meal (Cajun Beef Rice and Gravy with Louisiana Fresh Chicken Sausage) and sat back to observe it all. He started coming up with extensive building plans and ideas for the new property…things we thought we could live with or without —we find ourselves now both needing.
