🧡🎃🧡McKee Ranch Foundation is a family ranch in Las Vegas, close to the Silverton Hotel.

🎃The ranch is on 2.5 acres with farm animals and eclectic decor. They have a Pumpkin Patch every October.

📍8982 Dean Martin Dr., Las Vegas, NV

🗓️Oct. 1- Oct. 31 for the pumpkin patch, but you can visit the ranch year around

* 11am-6pm

Cost: $25 donation Per Family to support the ranch and you can choose a pumpkin to take home.

The ranch is home to a variety of animals including horses, pigs, bunnies, goats. turkey, sheep, chickens, roosters, donkey, ponies, rabbits and geese and ducks.
It’s more catered for younger children with their activities.
Activities include picking pumpkins, feeding the animals, riding horses and ponies & the train.

There are cute photo areas everywhere throughout the ranch.
It is mostly dirt or hey, so I suggest proper shoes when visiting. My shoes needed an extensive cleaning when we got home.

🐶 Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed Monday to Thursday, when the farm is not crazy busy.
Fluffy didn’t care much about the farm animals, but if your dog does, please be mindful

Fall colors arrive later in Yosemite Valley, usually from late October to November, due to its 4,000-foot elevation and gradual temperature changes.

What Fall Feels Like at Mt. Charleston:
* Cooler temperatures: As summer wanes, the air gets crisp. Daytime highs in September and October are comfortable, though mornings and evenings can be chilly, especially at higher elevations ( and on the scenic
* Spectacular foliage: You’ll see golden aspens turning brilliant yellow and orange, mixed with deep green pines and sometimes touches of reds and browns from oaks and other trees.
* Perfect weather window for outdoors: Fall is ideal for hiking, nature walks, photography, and just escaping the desert heat.

Places we visited for Fall foliage:
* South Loop (just went over to see the foliage, not the whole trail (about 2 miles trip, pretty deep to go up, but definitely worth is.) Accessible from Cathedral Rock & Mt Charleston trailhead. - parking area is almost the opposite side of the old restaurant, Same parking like Cathedral Rock trail, but go towards Mt Charleston NRT Trailhead from the parking lot.
* The start of Echo trail there are some beautiful yellow trees
* Lee Canyon
* Turn right behind the buildings at Lee Canyon. There is a very cute trail
* Take the Scenic Chair Rides
* Also you can see Fall colors at Lower Bristlecone trail

Quite Few trails, like Upper Bristlecone, Mary jean Falls, Trail Canyon trailhead… is still closed

✅ Practical Tips for Planning
* Start hikes early: For nicer light, cooler temperatures, and fewer people. Parking is limited, shade vs sun makes a big difference in comfort.
* Dress in layers: Mornings & evenings cold; midday might be warm in sun. Bring something warm and wind-resistant.
* Leash your dog: all trails require dogs on leash per Mt. Charleston rules.
* Watch weather & trail conditions: Rain can make trails slippery; early snow is possible at the highest elevations as fall turns to winter.
Many trails are dog-friendly, but check current trail access beforehand.
