It's important to have the ability to put your dog in a heel, but it's also important that your dog know when they are on a break and allowed to have some freedom to sniff and potty as they please.
Mixing both structure and freedom into your walk routine is highly recommended.

Who says you can’t have fun while staying fit? Treadmill training has become our new favorite activity to best the summer heat! It's a great way to give my dog some exercise, both physically and mentally.
Tips for success:
1. Start slow! Let them get used to the movement happening with you on it first.
2. Use treats for motivation for getting on the treadmill to begin with.
3. Using a leash, guide your dog to stay on at a slow pace, rewarding them with affection and treats.
4. Build up the duration! I aim for 10-20 minute walk sessions.
5. Always supervise for safety.
