Can we all take a moment to appreciate this handsome man named Bentley? This little guy came in to see Dr. Huddleston and us a few months back! His paw-rents wanted to get him all up to date on preventative care after they just recently adopted him. Bentley had multiple bald spots and very itchy red skin. After a few thousand medicated baths (😉), some medications, and lots of TLC from his new family, Bentley is looking better than ever! This is why we do what we do 🥲 Good job Bentley and good job to his paw-rents for taking such good care of this old man! Las Vegas, guess who is officially here and wrecking havoc in our city? MOSQUITOES. If you've been following the local news, there's multiple cases of West Nile virus popping up for the humans in our city, but they also cause HEARTWORM in our furry guys! Trigger Warning! This sweet girl named Millie came to us from our good friend Rob, who does amazing work with dog rescues in town. Millie was hit by a car and had xrays done. From the x-rays, it was determined that her quality of life would be better without her leg. Dr. Huddleston and our amazing LVT Christy took Millie into surgery to take her leg. She is now resting at her foster home and will make a full recovery.

We all know Las Vegas gets HOT. But did you know our streets and sidewalk can physically cause damage to your pet's paw pads during the summer? It is best to now walk your dogs in the early morning or late evening. If you have to walk during the day, look into to training your pooch to wear protective boots for their feet to keep them safe from the scalding street. Permanent damage to your dogs feet can happen in as little as 60 seconds with exposure to the pavement. Keep your dogs cool this summer! 🐾😎

Have you seen the news? Clark County is now requiring ALL pets to be microchipped in order to help return your pets to you in case they get lost. Our shelters are overflowing and need your help!! What’s sweeter than Honey?! Nothing 😋 Honey came in to see us and despite being so sweet, she was just a little scared. No problem for our team over at our Eastern location. Dr. Culpepper and her nurse Dany made it so Honey could stay with mom the whole time while they collected their samples for her heartworm test, making it a more comfortable visit for Honey. Remember Roo?? He came back to see us again for his dental cleaning!!! His paw-rents hooked him UP during his visit and he got not only a dental cleaning, but they wanted to get dental radiographs too to make sure we weren’t missing anything above his gum line! Thankfully because of those, we were able to see a few teeth that were suffering from bone loss and could potentially form a root abscess. Now Roo is on to feeling much better and his teeth are now pearly white! Can’t wait to see you again soon Roo 😍🫶🏻

You asked and we listened... the Cuddles n Huddles Crew is now offering vaccine clinic days! Please read the following post carefully to make sure you go on the correct days/times and to ensure that your pet is eligible for the vaccine clinic. We are so excited to now make it even easier to get your pets the care they need at affordable cost! All three of locations will each be offering a free exam with vaccines on certain days of the week - Our Eastern location will be on Wednesdays from 3-5:30pm, Decatur location will be on Fridays from 1-4:30pm, Fort Apache location will be on Tuesdays 2-4:30!! These are available WALK IN ONLY - no appointments will be scheduled during these times. The exam fee is free for all HEALTHY PETS. If you have any concerns to address, it will need to be scheduled for a different visit or an exam fee will be added to your invoice.

Sweet Cinnamon finished up her big girl vaccines this week! We have been seeing Cinnamon since she was just a wee little pup, her owners were on top of all the preventative care she needed. Puppies have to get a series of vaccines which can be stressful for us owners, but it will ensure your puppy will live their best life while being vaccinated! This little piggy went to see Dr. Huddleston to get their little piggy removed! This guinea pig came in to see us because he was born with an extra toe on one of his little feet! An extra toe could get caught in a kennel or cause infections for this little guy. So doc was here to make sure that doesn’t happen and he’s protected later on in his life. Just look at that sweet face! 🧡🐾

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH 🐾 Socket is a 5 month old DSH kitten and he just LOVES coming to work with his mom and loves lounging around the clinic. Socket takes customer service very serious here at Dr. Cuddles. He makes sure to greet ALL the patients, makes sure their beds are comfy and made before and after surgery, even gives Dr. Huddleston a hug and some purrs when he’s being a little grumpy 🤪 We love having you here Socket, thanks for being the hardest working employee this month! 😉❤️🐾
