Daffodil has been with Desert Moon Mushrooms for 1 whole year! 🎉🎉🎉

When she started a year ago, we knew we’d found a gem 💎 but she’s somehow exceeded our expectations and has made such a positive impact on us and the farm! She has done every single farmers market without fail, rain or shine, and in extreme weather. We get positive comments from you all pretty consistently about her customer service and mushroom knowledge! But behind the scenes, she has also helped us with other essential and high stress tasks around the farm including helping us pack hundreds of pounds of mushrooms as quickly as possible and delivering to restaurants with 100% perfection! It amazes us how she’s always down to help with whatever is necessary and with such a positive helpful attitude. She’s offered us much needed peace of mind, as she’s always been extremely easy going, dependable, a team player, and truly such a delight to be around! We love Daffodil so much and hope she stays with us for years to come ✨

It’s really no wonder why Blue Oysters are one of our best selling mushrooms ✨

🍄‍🟫 They’re meat-like! They taste like chicken or pork or even carne asada depending on your seasoning and cooking method.

🍄‍🟫 They’re versatile! We’ve seen these deep fried, roasted, stir fried, baked in bread, grilled, turned into steaks, topped on pizzas, dehydrated into jerky and used in soups. The possibilties are really rather impressive!

🍄‍🟫 They’re healthy! They’re a great source of dietary fiber, powerful antioxidants, vital vitamins like A, B and D, and minerals like iron and potassium. They’re also very low in calories, fat, and cholesterol.

She is incredibly inspiring, perseverant and works diligently daily to bring Las Vegas very tasty healthy mushrooms. DON’T MISS OUT! 🍄‍🟫 We’ll have 4 different Wild Mushrooms at the Farmers Markets this weekend!

Cauliflower Mushroom- These flat noodle-like mushrooms are firmer in texture and taste sweet, nutty and meaty. Try them stir fried with a little garlic and salt.

Sweet Tooth Mushroom- Aka Hedgehog Mushroom. This one is nutty in flavor and dense in texture which makes them great for pastas and soups.

Button Chanterelles- These are smaller & younger Chanterelles, which means they are also cuter 🥹 They hold their shape well when cooked and have a sweet, fruity flavor.

Matsutake Mushroom- a prized mushroom that smells like forest because they grow with pine trees! They taste woodsy and sometimes have a little spice to it. Definitely a must try.

Happy birthday to the man of the hour, Enrique! Our own in-house genius, engineer, scientist, mycologist, professional DIY’er and beyond. He takes growing mushrooms VERY seriously but lives life unbothered by most things, which is needed when things get tough and stressful. I’m not exaggerating when I say he’s worked NONSTOP for 5+ years to build Desert Moon Mushrooms from scratch and I couldn’t be more proud of him 🥹 What a guy! 5 stars! 10/10 ! -EvaSara 🤍
