A new chapter begins! (Remember those keys we showed you earlier this week? 🔑) We’re beyond excited to announce our new low-cost Spay/Neuter Wellness Clinic, in partnership with The Alan J. Arnold M.D. Charitable Endowment and Nevada Community Foundation. This clinic will provide crucial services like spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchipping to reduce pet overpopulation and support local pet owners. With plans to spay and neuter 13,000 animals annually, we’re making a huge impact on pet health in Southern Nevada. There are some revisions that need to be made to the surgical area, but We hope to be open by May.
The clinic will also house our veterinary forensics program, which has already investigated over 210 cases of animal cruelty and neglect. This space will allow us to save even more lives and continue being a voice for victims of cruelty.

Hello, my name is Kiva. I am 8 pounds and eight weeks old. I might be the smallest of my litter but I can keep up with my brothers. Do we have anyone who can open their home to this adorable little Tootsie Roll? She’s a little bundle of love who adores her humans but would do best as the only dog in the house—she gets along with other dogs just fine until it’s time to share her human, then she gets a little jealous.

She’s also a bit too interested in chasing cats, so a cat-free home would be best.

Meet Joey! Joey is a sweet man. He needs a patient and quiet home where he can be himself and just enjoy his days. He isn't big on playing or being cuddly, but he does love his people. He’s not really into toys. But then again boarding changes some pups and they don’t feel free to be themselves. A foster home would make a huge difference for a pup like this. He really needs someone to show him what love is again. He will let you pick him up without issues. He does fine in a kennel and can be a little whinny but he stops quickly. He is potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and utd on vaccines. A home with no other dogs, children, or cats is preferred. Buddy is a year and a half old neutered male pit bull that is full of energy, curiosity and love. Once a product of the Las Vegas streets, Buddy has worked very hard to establish good dog habits. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, come and house. He loves to take long walks and fantastic on a leash. Buddy is a work in progress when it comes to other dogs that are his size or bigger. Unfortunately, he isn't a fan of cats or small dogs. Buddy loves to play with all toys, balls and ropes especially in the afternoon sun. Meet Dexter! This adorable 13 week puppy is half Frenchie and half mystery pup! We do know he is 100% good boy though! Dexter is extremely timid when meeting new people and dogs and needs a little time to warm up but once he realizes he’s safe, he is all puppy! He gets along with big and small dogs and even cats once he is feeling comfortable in his environment. He is working on potty training and being comfortable on a leash and will need a calm patient household to help him learn. We do require adopters to have another social dog in the home as he seems to come out of his shell with other animals. Dog of the Day: Meet Ozzie

Hi, my name is Ozzie and I really would love to spend the holidays with my new forever family! Will you give me a chance? I had a family before that I loved since I was a baby, for 4 whole years! But then, back in July they didn’t want me anymore, they even said they would put me to sleep if the rescue didn’t take me! Boy am I glad they did save me! I got to go to a foster home and I love it there, but, it’s just not the same as having my very own family again, you know? Cat friendly couch potato looking to adopt a family of her own! Shadow, a smaller Akita mix, is a very easy going, low energy girl, she does not need a large yard or a lot of exercise. Shadow prefers lounging on the couch with you and just a few short walks around the neighborhood. She may get the zoomies once in a while and even play with toys if you get her going but for a barely 2 year old teenager she is so mellow and very well mannered. She may jump up on you when you first get home and do a little dance but that’s it. Shadow loves dog friendly kids! She can be a little scared of new adult people and need a minute but nice kids, she’ll love right away.

Shadow knows Sit and Down and Wait and Stay and a few other tricks like Spin and Shake and Touch. She is non destructive when left alone and has no separation anxiety, she’ll just nap until you get back home. Shadow’s favorite activity besides napping is chewing on bones and kongs and work on food puzzles, she is Extremely food motivated.

Shadow is a little shy at first when meeting new people, she may even bark at strangers because she’s worried about them, but it just takes a few minutes and some treats to become her new best friend. She also gets scared at busy or new places, like at the groomer’s or the vet’s but will allow all handling and relax with some treats. Food and treats, always the way to this girl’s heart.

Shadow would do well being the only dog in the home but has lived with other dogs in foster care and done very well also, she prefers males usually but it depends. Meet and greets are required if she were to live with another dog. Shadow has enjoyed playing and running around with some of her foster siblings but not gotten along with others. As long as the other dogs are well balanced and easy going also and don’t try to take her food or chews away. Feeding separately is absolutely necessary as well as being separated for chew/treat times.

Currently Shadow is living with a cat in her foster home with no issues, they hang out together peacefully. She also goes to the dog park when it’s not super crowded and has made many doggie friends she plays with nicely.

Meet Jake! Jake is a year and half year old Shepherd and weighs around 65lbs. He loves food and will help himself to anything within his reach that is not under lock and key: a bag of potatoes, pizza, … etc. Jake was a rescue from a previous home where he was found abandoned in the street in July of 2023. Jake is currently not around any other pets, but he was around other dogs in the previous home. Jake is very sweet and loving, but full of energy. Jake requires constant attention from his humans or other pet interaction. Jake is house broken, and can use a doggie door. Jake is currently a “chewer" and needs to be kept busy and active. Hello, my name Is Wolfie! I have spent the last 10-12 weeks growing into a hunka-chunk-of-love, and now I am ready to find a forever family to share life with. My love language is cuddles, good food, belly rubs and companionship – I love to be around those I love. I do not get rattled by much, I am a pretty easy guy to have around; oh, and I learn really fast. I am looking for someone who wants a life-long partner (I am done with dating, it is just so much work) and who has a home with fully fenced yard to keep me safe and secure, and (fingers crossed) a friend for companionship and to help me learn the flow of my new home. I have been lovingly raised in a foster home since I was 10 days old (can you believe a human dumped me and my siblings in a box at a shelter door). I am a male Shepherd/Bully mix, and my siblings are Beetlejuice (male), Rory (male) and Astrid (female). Wolfie was recently neutered and is ready to find his forever home today. Wolfie is being raised in a loving foster home with both small and large dogs, and really wants to be part of a family pack (whether human or doggy). He has previous experience with using a doggie door, and can use potty pads, etc. He is learning bladder control and prefers to do his potty outside if given the opportunity. We think he will be on the large side of medium/large when fully grown.
