Rheya, is an up-and-coming female breeder for next season that .of.geckos.official one of my best friends in the hobby snagged for me at her local show. Although, they picked this one out without my knowledge, I couldn’t have been happier. Rheya, may lack coverage, however, her defining attributes make up for her loss. She’ll eventually be paired with Bangarang to hopefully move my Tricolor projects one step further.

Aurora, is one of the dams that produced my wild Capps and started my ‘blood orange’ project. I found her as a hatchling when I knew I had to have her. This season was her first year as a breeder and she has proven herself to be a significant piece for future projects.

Aurelia, “the golden one”. Time and time again I ask myself, “how does she maintain her orange coverage”? Despite her age she glows and she didn’t always look like this. Her lateral pattern, pinstripe, fringing and dorsal gradually began to change color due to what I believe is tangerine influenced. Which is why she has been able to maintain such vibrancy. Her offspring undergo color development displaying their orange coverage around 3g, with levels of tangerine-pink patterns. 2024, is going to be her golden season.

Alani, has the oddest patterns making her look strikingly beautiful. Her marbled orange base, infectious blushing, the inconsistent tangerine highlights on her crest, the symmetry of her vertical white spots on her laterals and tail base pattern remind me of graffiti. It’s an eyesore, but you can’t help but look at it.

Valo, didn’t exhibit much as a hatchling and she was more base color than pattern. In fact, I would have overlooked and wouldn’t think twice about adding her to my collection. However, after seeing how her pattern progressed and what phenotypes she may possibly possess, she inevitably deserved a spot on the roster.

Neva, the blue eyed red Tricolor LW. There’s very few I’ve seen like her that exhibit Tricolor. Her color palette is well balanced on a clean white textured canvas. Even though, her first season was short, she produced an array of exceptional offspring. Including a red Frappuccino, growing out.

Prowl, the OG Tricolor who started it all. He was the first Tricolor in my collection and one of the reasons why I’m so fond of them. He’s got so much going on with him; from his long hairy crest, floppy head, prominent pinstripe and dorsal pattern. There’s still work to be done with him and I’m hoping to extract all of his best traits, to produce a ‘Prowler’ offspring.

Koa, is and always will remain one of my all time favorite variant of a Tricolor. There was no hesitation when I first saw this gecko at 6g. I never get tired of seeing him and unlike last season, he’s prime. The wait is over.. 🫠
