It’s and we are ready for the weekend!

Here in Vegas we had a weird start to our week with a dust storm and high winds. So our Monday was a bit worse than normal 🙃

The plus side is that we got a small break from the heat and can spend days like today out in the sun without burning 😂

Meet Wallis, Frankie, & Eddie 🥰

Miss Wallace is a Great Dane/pit mix and is gigantic! She doesn’t know though and will sit in your lap 😂 Frankie is the cutest 3-legged pup and he loves all the snuggles 🥰 Eddie is also 3-legged and is the most handsome orange tabby ❤️

It may sound like a big group to handle, but they are actually so good together and I can’t wait to see this crew soon 😊😊

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is ready to start 2022 recharged ❤️

One reason I love my job so much is because it changes my perspective of my situation so quickly. I might be stressed over the moon about things and then I go see a dog. I sit outside with them, feel the sun on my skin, and after a few minutes I am tethered back to the ground.

As much fun as the holiday season can be, it’s still very very stressful too.

Luckily I got to see this pup and he was so happy to see me that I forgot I was even stressed!

This is Harley and yes he is fully blind. He is the sweetest, most loving, cuddle-bear, rope-tugger pupper and I love him so much ❤️

I hope his smiles bring you happiness today 😊😁

Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with routine?

We are almost 2 weeks into 2022 and I can tell some people are already over it and I can’t blame them! I used to be someone who would clock in and clock out everyday and for awhile it was doable. Until, I would start to count the days until my next day off and my mental health would take a nose dive.

I wasn’t passionate about the work I was doing for 2 reasons: 1. The environment was horrible. The clientele and management created a toxic work environment and made me dread going into work. 2. There wasn’t much difference from the day before and the present day that pretty soon all my days were blurred together and I didn’t have the mental or physical energy to enjoy my days off.

So I left.

The first month after leaving was the hardest since I didn’t have anything else lined up, but I knew that leaving was the best decision overall. No more negativity on a routine schedule. I was ultimately happier despite the stress of looking for a new job.

Fast forward a couple weeks later and I started this business through the platform called Rover. Being able to manage my own schedule, and facilitate strong foundations with my clients was/is so rewarding for me. Mostly because it requires routines that are flexible and I can focus on making the days count instead of counting them down to be over. ❤️

Aloha & Happy first Monday of the New Year!

Something I’m personally going to work towards this year is not comparing myself to others, especially when success is defined differently by each individual.

As 2021 came to an end, one thing I’ve realized about how I think is that it just didn’t make sense: I’m my biggest enemy, but how can that be true if I’m constantly comparing my success to others around me? If that’s the case, then I can’t say I’m my biggest enemy.

Success is such an interesting concept because there is a generalized definition by society that money = success. In a lot of ways, and for a lot of people this definition rings true. However, I’ve recently had a heart to heart conversation with someone who was at the top and his business was profitable and successful and he told me when he finally reached that achievement, he realized he wasn’t happy at all. He admitted that once he was on top of the world, his definition of success drastically changed from money = success to happiness = success.

After that conversation, I’ve spent my time over the holidays really reevaluating how I define success currently and if it differs from how I WANT to define success in the future. That answer is, hands-down YES.

So, my new definition of success will primarily be focused on my happiness, and trying to be better than myself everyday. Even in the smallest ways.

I hope 2022 brings you all happiness/success no matter how you define the two terms, and maybe if you bring the focus inward, your surroundings will change to reflect this definitions. ❤️

Remember when your parents would say, “If everyone else jumped off a cliff would you too?” And the rebellious you would reply, “Yeah , of course!” Or was that just me? 😅

When it comes to pursuing anything you love, there are so many risks. Some of the bigger ones will feel like deciding to jump off a cliff, but most times the reward is worth it.

The hardest part about this decision is committing to it 100%. Yes, there are so many things to be scared of, but by being confident and taking action your dreams will be one step closer.

Basically, if you are up for adventure, step off that cliff! You can do it ☺️😂

Who else is guilty of this? 🙋🏽‍♀️

I never realize it in the moment, in fact there are times where I blame circumstances on other people or situations when I can’t face them head on myself.

In other words, I am my own worst enemy (thanks to Blink-182, I sing these words 😂). But in all seriousness, I let myself get the better of me more than I would like to admit. I don’t believe I’m the only person this rings true for either.

Why do I do this? I can’t quite put my finger on it to tell you the truth. I believe it has something to do with self standards being too high and not keeping myself accountable to them.

My top strategy I use to work on this is making lists! They are my boss so to speak and help to prioritize tasks or thoughts so that it’s not jumbled in my head. That way I can focus on completing one thing. By using my lists I am so much more productive and can attack larger, more complicated things!

Stop making life more complicated and make a list 😂❤️

Do you ever feel like you or your efforts just aren’t enough? Well here’s a reminder!

I almost gave up on pursuing this business. Not because there wasn’t work, but because I felt like all the odds were against me. My motivation was low and I had lost my vision of where I wanted to take this business. So I found another job opportunity, something that was taken more seriously as a career not just by my family and friends, but society in general and it felt good to have this unspoken acceptance that I had “moved on” and “made a smart move” for my future.

But like many things, that oppurtunity didn’t work out and I came out of it learning so much about myself. I remembered why I loved pursuing this business with animals and if I was willing to put in the work, it didn’t matter what anyone else thought.

So to anyone else who may have forgotten their reason or feels pressured to not pursue what they love here is your to remind you:

Can you believe it is already December?! This year flew by since we came out of hiding during lockdown in 2020 and tried to resume "normal" life. Although for many, life B.C. (Before Covid) will never go back to how it used to be, I do hope that your Holiday Season is filled with nothing but happiness and love! From my pups to yours, Welcome December!!

There are 2 types of people when it comes to Mondays:

Which one are you?

1. "Happy Monday y'all! Let's get this 🍞"

2. "Ugh it's Monday. I don't want to go to work. In fact I don't want to even get out of bed!😫"

I am definitely number 2, but recently I asked myself, "Why?" I've always had a negative outlook when it came to starting my work week and that mindset didn't do me any good, so eventually I said no more!

Instead, I started telling myself that the beginning of the week should start with positivity and encouragement whether it's focused inward or outward into the world!

With this change in mindset for myself I have been so much more productive with my time and don't feel as burdened by my work!

So every Monday I will be posting a Mantra and it may be for myself or it may be for you, and sometimes it will be what we both needed to get through the week ahead!

Todays is:
I will be patient
I will be positive
I will be productive

What is the hardest part about dining in your own home?

2. Having to avoid making eye contact with the most adorable sharks hiding under the table!

It’s such a challenge when it comes to not feeding your pets table scraps, and although we are pretty good about it, sometimes “accidents” happen and my cleanup crew is there licking the mess away 😂. Quite honestly, sometimes the mess doesn’t even make it to the ground!

My pups enjoyed a mini thanksgiving feast of their own while we ate our dinner so that for the majority of our meal we weren’t being threatened with cute looks under the table.

These last few days I have tackled and accomplished more things to move my business forward than I ever attempted over the last year. I honestly don’t why I had the sudden motivation I’ve been lacking, but I’m so thankful for it ❤️ Besides finishing this proper introduction, I have also finalized a price menu, started a page, and designed and received new business cards!

Although I’m running on 4 hours of sleep and a billion cups of coffee, I am so so so happy with the results I’ve pumped out and can’t be more appreciative to the response from clients, family, and friends!
