Bella Maine Coons We're a small family owned cattery that breeds purebred Maine C***s from American and European lines Hello!

We get a lot of questions about how, and why we became breeders, so I thought I'd share our journey with you. We have been breeding Maine C***s since 2020, we originally came across this breed while visiting a cat show here in Las Vegas. Immediately we fell in love with this breeds striking size, looks and calm, elegant demeanor. I have always heard about how wonderful this breed of cat is but, yo

u can't fully appreciate how stunning Maine C***s are without meeting one first hand. We originally didn't intend on breeding, as we purchased our first Maine C**n from Europe simply as a pet. But after owning him for sometime we decided that it might be fun to start showing at the next cat show when they came back into town. After doing more research into showing, confirmation for the different recognized organizations, genetics and coat variations, breeding peaked our interest. After a lot of research, planning and looking for the right breeders to purchase different lines from, we produced our first litter of beautiful kittens and started Bella Maine C***s. Breeding is extremely hard as it requires a lot of planning, research, finances and hands on experience, it is also very time consuming, making sure each cat and kitten is cared for and gets exactly what they need each day. But this has become a true passion and joy of ours, we feel extremely lucky to be able to have our cats and also produce these beautiful kittens. We are grateful that each and every one of our babies have gone to wonderful loving homes that share their kittens journey throughout life.

Happy New Year! 🎉🥳 I'm so happy 2024 has come to its end, this has been a very stressful and bad year for us, from our friends being in and out of the hospital, to my brother having a heart attack and husband being diagnosed with a life altering disease, to losing 3 of our elderly pets and almost losing my Dotty to a blockage it's been very rough..

But I'm so thankful that my husband is back home and doing great, my brother and our friends are out of the hospital and doing well, our pets are happy and healthy and our elderly pets had a good life while we had them. Things could be so much worse, and sometimes it can be difficult to remind yourself of that, when it feels like your life is falling apart.
But I'm grateful that we were able to pull through, celebrate the holidays with our loved ones and continue on into the new year. Hopefully 2025 will prove to be better but as they say, que sera sera.

I just wanted to thank everyone that have reached out to us with support, especially when my husband was in the hospital, as well as being so understanding for all my screw-ups and delays and to everyone that have given our babies such wonderful homes. Thank you all so much and I hope everyone has a wonderful new year! 🥳

Obviously we love all our pets very deeply, we share a bond with each individual but, some we connect with more than others. We all have that one special pet that steals a little extra of our heart..
Well Salem is that special one, even from the day we brought her home she was just special her personality, temperament and even her color are all unique and special, I've never seen a cat quite like her.

With all the cats, kittens, running a business and taking care of family it's hard to make sure everyone gets the affection and attention they deserve. Salem has been retired from breeding for a long time now, and with everything going on it's just not realistic, sustainable for us or even fair to them to try and keep everyone simple because we love them.
Unlike Benny (America short hair) who has severe seizures or Biddy (mix breed) who is just plain nuts we could never rehome them simply because we wouldn't trust for someone to care for them properly and make sure they get their medications daily.

But Salem is different, she's completely healthy, beautiful, sweet and deserves more attention than what she's getting and it's not fair to keep her just because we love her.

That is why with a heavy heart we have decided to rehome her, we will be looking for a very special home for her with someone that can devote their time to loving her and showering her with attention. We will be looking for a home that is calm and relaxed, with maybe 1 or 2 othe cats so she has friends because she is very social. I'm hoping to find someone that either works from home or is retired so they can be with her a lot. If you feel like your home would be a good fit for her please message me!

Thank you so much to everyone that has reached out regarding my husband, he is doing much better and has finally came back home with us today.
In a few days I will be posting some updates about the kittens/cats we have available, upcoming breedings and getting back to everyone's messages!

I'm sorry for not keeping everyone updated on their kittens or getting back to all the messages and inquiries.
I normally wouldn't share this publicly but I just want everyone to know Im not blowing you off and havent forgotten about you.
My husband is currently in the hospital and I haven't had the time to address messages or send paperwork out. I promise I will get back with everyone as soon as possible! We are hoping he will be back home by next week 🙏

All kittens are born with blue eyes but once they get older they change color, his will not change and will remain blue for life.
