This tiny senior boy was lost and terrified, running around for weeks before we finally caught up to him. He was in such horrible shape at that time. The poor guy had severe dental disease, was not neutered, and only weighed 2lbs! But look at him now! 😍

Thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Bee, for safely trapping him and to Pawsitive Difference Pet Rescue for giving him a second chance at happiness. He is now thriving and living his best dog life!! 🎄

Our team provided advice and materials free of charge to this homeowner who had security issues with her gate. Often times, our team members will take it upon themselves to do outreach work in our community to assist fellow dog owners 💗

The search for Emmie is HEATING UP 🔥 We are on Day 8 of the rescue mission, so finding her is absolutely critical at this point. She is out there, and she is alive. The team has also spotted three other dumped dogs 😫 Yes, three other dogs lost out in the desert.

Emmie’s family has been searching non-stop, every single day and night ☀️🌙 Thank you to the drone operators, hikers, bikers, Smooch the rescue pup, horseback volunteers, trappers, etc. It takes a village. Let us know if you want to be a part of it. We could definitely use more volunteers with drones.

All we want for Christmas is for our community to do better🎄🎁 🙏

This sweet, beautiful little terrier did not survive the busy Las Vegas traffic. Kelly picked up his little body from the travel lane and sent him off with dignity, and with his very own Christmas toy 🧸 🥺 This is the everyday reality in this town. You can help by:

🔺Never leaving your dog outside unattended.
🔺 When outdoors, keep your dog on a leash AT ALL TIMES.
🔺Microchip your pets.
🔺Make sure they have a collar with your contact info on the tags.
🔺 Be mindful when driving and look out for stray dogs. Call animal control if you cannot help yourself. Don’t wait for someone else to do it.

We were notified of yet another abandoned dog tied to a pole. This area is a popular dog dumping location, just at the base of Sunrise Mountain. Unfortunately the dog was gone before our team could get out there.

It looks like he may have been picked up by animal control (see last photo). If you recognize this baby, please reach out to the shelter directly. What a shame 😔💔

Athena is safe!
The Doggie Task Force is assisting in the search for 6 month old puppy, Athena 🔎 She was on a road trip with her daddy 🚗 when she got loose and ran off into the desert. She has an orange harness and a pink leash still attached ‼️

Athena was last seen on Wednesday, November 22nd on Valley of Fire Hwy, Moapa NV 89025 at the Moapa Travel Plaza.

Her dad has been searching for her non-stop. The Doggie Task Force needs more boots on the ground volunteers to help search the area. Please message us if you have free time this weekend and would like to join the Athena rescue chat 💬

Well here’s a holiday story for ya 🍁🦃 While most people are celebrating this Thanksgiving feeling grateful and thankful with their loved ones, there are other people who choose to abandon their furry family members . This good boy was left behind, along with his belongings. said nope, not happening.

Thank you to our wonderful team members for safely trapping this sweet, innocent dog. He has been named WINDER after our very own super hero Kelly Winder 🦸🏻‍♂️ Special shout-out goes to the Dog Whisperer herself, Jasmin Ballinas Villa.

Thank you to Pawsitive Difference Pet Rescue for accepting him into rescue, even when they had absolutely nowhere to put him. If you’re feeling thankful today, please consider donating towards his medical and boarding fees, it is not cheap 🙏

When we feel like losing faith in humanity, The Doggie Task Force leans on each other for support. There really are some wonderful humans in our Las Vegas community. Thank you all for your support, and have a Happy Thanksgiving ❤️

Trigger warning 🚨 Deceased dog in cage.

Our team is well aware of the dead dog left inside a cage for over 2 days. We have been flooded with messages, DMs and tags. As you can imagine, this is a gut wrenching and disturbing scene to come across.

This situation needs to be investigated by Animal Control officers. At the very least, this innocent animal deserves a sliver of dignity by being picked up in a timely manner. Despite the multiple calls to Animal Control, the dog is still out there as of now.

After 13 days of being lost at Red Rock Canyon, Suger has been found alive. Today is a good day 🙏☀️

AMAZING NEWS!!! Suger was found. Heading to the vet. Thanks to Becca for finding her and Cece for spearheading the searches, Doggie Task force and so many more.
