Winston gave us a big "paw" up by assisting in his X-ray today!
He came in this morning for a recheck of his paw where he had a nail problem a couple of weeks ago.

Did you know we offer Digital X-rays?
This allows us to view the files immediately after being taken, rather than waiting for them to develop. It also allows the doctors to note abnormalities and assist in a diagnosis sooner rather than later!

Today, Jaiden and her service dog, Callie, made a visit to Mayfield Elementary!

In addition to learning more about Callie and Jaiden's jobs, the students had some hands-on practice about how to properly bandage a pet's leg and some other emergency care!

On April 2, Dr. Jeff Perret will work his final regular shift at Veterinary Medical Center, after which he will begin his long-awaited (semi) retirement.
Dr. Perret Purchased VMC in August 1997, and he has been honored to care for the dogs and cats of Slidell for the past 27+ years.

At the risk of becoming a cliché, he envisions lots of travel, woodworking, time with the grandkids and leisure. When Dr. Richardson or Dr. Faucheux need some time off, you still might catch him in the exam room for a day or two at a time, as needed, working with the best veterinary staff on the Northshore.

He extends his sincere thanks to the people of Slidell for being such good clients and good friends, and for entrusting him with the care of their pets for so many years.

Due to a double parade tomorrow evening, we will be closing at 4:00 PM tomorrow, rather than our originally anticipated 4:30 PM.
