Today is World Mental Health Day! It’s so important that we take care of our mental health. I know for me after my third child I had PPD really bad. I was in a dark place and the it plagued me and it took me years to get through it and find ways to take care of myself mentally when it hit me. One of those things that helped me was getting back into horses. When I have a rough day at work, feeling down, or my hormones are out of wack around that time of the month…my horse Dove is my go to! Getting to spend time with her out in the open for a ride or even just grooming her helps. So I hope that everyone takes a little time for your meantal health. Whether that’s getting your nails done, a spa day, a day curled up with a book, horseback riding, or just sleeping it off and recharging as best as you can…..I hope you take a little time for yourself and take care of you and your mental health!
