Today is , a global day of giving, and we're asking for your support to lend a paw to sick and injured dogs in need. After being struck by a car and left injured on a rural road, Gus defied the odds thanks to a good Samaritan who rushed him to safety. Despite suffering a traumatic brain injury and a fractured pelvis requiring surgery, Gus is expected to make a full recovery.

A shelter rescue pup, Gus transformed his pet parents’ lives, becoming the kids' best friend, his dad’s snuggle buddy, and a playful partner to their other dog. His family is determined to do whatever it takes to bring him home and help him heal.

His challenges include dehydration affecting his kidneys, refeeding syndrome, elevated liver enzymes, heartworm disease, and dental trauma needing future care. His recovery requires intensive monitoring and treatment in a veterinary hospital.

With the help of a Bow Wow Buddies Foundation medical grant, Popeye is receiving the essential care he needs to survive and heal. This support gives him a chance at recovery and the love every dog deserves.
