Oh Lawd, She Comin'
She’s large and in charge. Bonnie is one of a kind.
Her passionate love of treats has her tipping the scales at 98 lbs. At just two years old, Bonnie needs to find a loving family who can get her in shape and help her lose her love handles. Hey, we’ve all been there. 😉
Bonnie is shy when you first meet her, but she quickly warms up to new people. Treats and lazy walks around the block are the way to her heart. Bonnie would do best in a home where she can be the center of your attention. She’s not a fan of small animals such as cats and small dogs. She wants all of your love for herself.
Bonnie’s waiting to meet you at The Animal Foundation. Her adoption fee is waived, and her ID# is A1317732.
Panther's a Dream!
Don’t let his name fool you, Panther is one laid-back dog!
At 6 years old, we know this refined gentleman is up for anything. He loves to spend time with people and getting pets is his favorite thing. Panther is smart and knows basic commands, showing off his skills during training sessions at the shelter. When he gets into the play yard with other pups, he plays nicely but prefers to do his own thing.
On a recent foster field trip, Panther was the talk of PetSmart! His foster said, “Thanks to his training at the shelter, he has manners upon manners upon manners! What a dream to walk and be around. His presence is overwhelmingly calming, and gentle (like an old friend who has your back).”
Panther is looking for his forever home after spending three months in the shelter. Do you have room on your couch for an 80-pound snuggle muffin who only wants to be by your side? Panther’s adoption fee is waived, and his ID# is A1317394.
Deanna Troi wants to meet you!
Meet Deanna Troi: goofy, silly, and incredibly loving with magnificent ears that steal the show.
This 1-year-old girl is great on a leash and will come right up to you for pets and snuggles. She’s what we call a “potty dog” at the shelter, meaning she’s most likely potty trained and knows to wait until she can do her business outside.
Deanna Troi knows some basic commands, but she decides when she’s going to listen to you. ((laugh)) Treats are the way to her heart, but ear scratches will open the door to her affection.
It only takes a few minutes to fall in love with Deanna Troi. Come meet her today. She’s available for foster or adoption. Her ID# is A1324478.
Help us provide new lifesaving parvo treatment to sick shelter puppies
🚨 URGENT Appeal: Lotus the puppy is getting a second chance at life thanks to a groundbreaking treatment for the deadly parvovirus.
When Lotus arrived at The Animal Foundation, she showed severe symptoms: bloody diarrhea, a loss of appetite, and a lack of energy. She was thin and dehydrated.
A test confirmed the deadly and contagious parvovirus - or parvo - a devastating condition which has a 91% mortality rate when left untreated.
At just 23 lbs, her prognosis was grim - and without intervention - her chances of survival were slim.
But there is hope.
Lotus is receiving a first-of-its-kind USDA conditionally approved treatment for parvo.
The Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody (CPMA) is a revolutionary therapy that targets and neutralizes the virus directly, drastically improving survival rates.
Unlike traditional methods that only manage symptoms, CPMA offers a real chance at recovery, often improving clinical signs in as little as 24 hours.
Lotus is one of the first dogs at The Animal Foundation to receive CPMA and is already showing signs of improvement.
Her energy is slowly returning, and she’s regaining her appetite - milestones that seemed impossible just days ago.
Before this new treatment, the only way to treat parvo was through extremely expensive around-the-clock care which managed the symptoms of the disease and may prevent the dog from dying but didn’t actually fight the virus itself.
CPMA on the other hand, is a dose of synthetic parvo antibodies that prevent the disease from ever affecting the dog’s cells.
Each vial costs $220 dollars and depending on the dog’s size, some may require multiple vials; this cost is in addition to other supportive care therapies.
However, we urgently need your support to continue this lifesaving work. Without donations, we cannot continue to provide this treatment to more dogs like Lotus.
Last year, we took in more than 100 dogs with parvo, which is an average of one case in the shelter e

Hero needs a hero!
Internet, meet Hero. She’s looking for a hero of her own.
She arrived at the shelter in mid-May, and she has been stealing hearts ever since. Hero is one of those dogs who you just have to meet. She is quite aloof and likes to live life to the beat of her own drum.
Hero rides like a pro in the car. Once she meets you it takes her all of 4 minutes to sit on your feet and wonder why you stopped petting her for the last 8 seconds. She’ll turn around, smile at you, and try to kiss your face to get more love. The way to Hero’s heart is through butt scratches.
If you want to meet this sweet 4-year-old, 70lb bundle of joy, head straight to the shelter. Hero is available for foster or adoption. Her ID# is A1319789.
🐾 After 4 long years, Alessandra and Coco Chanel are reunited, thanks to a microchip! Stolen in 2020, Coco Chanel was brought to The Animal Foundation last week, and a microchip led her back to Alessandra. Despite the distance and time, Alessandra kept the microchip information updated, and it paid off.
The four puppies abandoned in the heat are recovering
An UPDATE on the four adorable puppies found abandoned in a bucket on a hot Las Vegas day.
They’re getting medicated baths and antibiotics for mange. Their scabs are healing, but it’ll take a bit for their fur to grow back.
All four are responding well to treatment. With love, patience, and excellent care from our veterinary team and groomer, we are confident in their recovery. A massive thank you to everyone who donated to their care!
As an open-admission shelter, The Animal Foundation takes in animals needing emergency or specialized medical care every week. Any leftover funds from the puppies’ treatment will support other shelter animals needing special care.
