Blue Diamond Kennels

Blue Diamond Kennels We aim to breed a mentally stable, working quality dog, with correct conformation. All puppies are raised in home, in their own personal whelping room.

Our puppies are raised with Puppy Culture methods, and start early neurological stimulation. Our puppies are carefully socialized and introduced to a variety of loud noises, exposed to different floor textures, and start learning how to accept being handled for grooming such as inspecting teeth, clipping nails, and handling paws/ears.

Who would have known back then all the things we’d have accomplished together! He’s been so perfect. I never really thought about actually having a kennel business or having pups so early into our 1st year raising him, and here we are 6 years later. He’s a one in a million dog. Excited what the future will hold. 💙

We have a lot of new changes coming up for our breeding program at the end of the year.

Working on implementing a whole new page refresh, and new future breeding stock.

Diesel’s enjoying retirement, but of course, we’re going to try for a few more titles.
Excited for winter! 💙

Dogs can’t fly, but if you’re Diesel you can get pretty close! Coming into the New Year with happy and healthy dogs, and still working them in this cold and wind we have had this weekend camping out in CA.

Have some small things planned later, but going steady still! Diesel is going on 7 years old soon! Can’t believe we have been doing it this long since he is our founding dog. We’ve had so many amazing puppies and met so many great families all these years. Here’s to another year! Happy New Year! 🥂

If you want to add some size, working ability, solid mindset, temperament, and drive to your litter, he is your guy. Back up for stud (Las Vegas valley only) for the remainder of this year.

**** A lot of return puppy buyers have asked, and no, we will not be having a personal on site litter this year. Sorry!

No aggressive dogs.
Willing to do pup back deal in place of stud fee with the right female only.

Contact me for private stud fee.

It’s that time of year again, love is in the air for the dogs. Diesel has been used as a stud to two amazing outside females that are not in my breeding program. Dude gets around with the bi***es. Literally.
Puppies are due October 5th, and October 9th.

I am taking a puppy from each litter. From litter #1, we are expecting all solid blues with traditional white markings. From litter #2 we are expecting solid blue, and blue brindle pups. Any shipping cost is at buyers expense.
Ear cropping is done through my vet, at buyers expense and optional.

Puppies are going to be great prospects for a wide variety of dog sports, personal protection, and of course, as family dogs, and will thrive best in homes with active families. I will be acquiring the pups at 8 weeks, and they will be “ready” by around 12 weeks to go to their new homes. Puppies will have been vaccinated, and started some basic training and socializing by yours truly before going home with new families.

• Where my dogs end up is very important to me, and as always, a puppy contract and is required before purchase.

• A deposit to hold your puppy is required. Deposit is non refundable, but transferable to another puppy of your choosing, or another litter.

• If things don’t work out, I will always take back one of my puppies as stated in my contract.

Something really cool has happened, and given us an amazing opportunity:

Diesel’s father is possibly going to be a grandfather AND father, to Diesel’s daughter Mia (Diesel x Karma breeding.) Waiting on conformation she has pups. She has been line bred back to her grandfather. Naturally I jumped at the chance and reserved my spot, for a Diesel grand puppy, so Diesel would be half brothers and sisters with the litter, and a grandfather to them as well. How confusing to the average person 😂

3 generations of proven rock solid working dogs, I’m nothing but excited. Genetically I’m expecting nothing but cloned copies of each of these dogs stamped into this litters genes.

Line breeding is very very common, and safe in pedigree dogs, to lock in specific traits and a desired physical structure.

“It’s absolutely mind boggling if you think about it.

Your dog gets absolutely nothing out of being competitive for you. Not a darn thing. Of course dogs are bred for specific jobs, or they’re bred to be athletic to a certain degree. However, dogs don’t wake up thinking about chasing ribbons, or cows, or flying over jumps and running through plastic tunnels.

They have no idea how much money is added to the pot. They have no idea that this is a qualifier. They have no idea that this is the short go.

And DESPITE us... DESPITE our nerves, our flaws, our incorrect ques, our huge emotions, they get the job done to their very best ability. Even when we fail them by letting our emotions get in the way, they come back and they try again. For US. Let that sink in. If only we could all be so understanding.

To think of an animal that is so forgiving and flexible enough to put up with the repetition of practice, the intense nerves of the handler, the stress of hauling in a crate to shows and to still meet you at the door everyday for pets and to see you after you’re home from work is mind blowing.

If you haven’t done so lately... Thank your dog.

If you’re successful, thank the dogs that put you there and made you. Thank the dogs that gave everything they had for you simply because you ASKED them to.

If you’re still on the journey to success, thank the dogs that made you fall in love with your sport and who have helped give you the confidence to want to learn more and be better.

We can never stop learning as dogmen and dogwomen, and by continuing our education every dog in our future will be better off.

Next time you head to grab the leash and head to the training field, leave your ego at the door and thank your dog!”

Last month I posted about going to get Bellamy’s hips checked. We finally did, since I have some time off of work this weekend and I’m very happy to say he’s got awesome hips! ! He’s a little dizzy from going under some anesthesia but he’s recovering just fine. Although they are “simple X-rays” the dogs have to be sedated in order to properly get a good and clear photo of the hips. Plus, they would never let you hold their legs down on their backs like that for that long! Good bye to my wallet money now, I’ll miss you.

The problem with German Shepherds and other large, popular breeds like Labradors, is at once point people over bred them to produce many offspring in one time period that demanded the breed. People ignored health issues and didn’t breed fully healthy dogs and with that resulted in the breed being heavily prone to hip dysplasia later on in life. By breeding two dogs with good hips that can help assure the offspring will have almost a 0% chance of suffering from the disease later on in life, resulting in healthier, longer living dogs, and a stronger gene pool.

It’s very important to note that although the dog may be from healthy parents, that environmental, feeding, and too much strenuous activity and jumping as a puppy could damage the joints and cause hip or elbow problems as early on as one year of age.

Our Story

What began only as a dream back in 2013, I’m extremely proud to finally have the opportunity, time, and resources to have the dogs I have today. Growing up, I was always surrounded by animals. My mother bred Standard and Miniature Poodles, and was very passionate about her breed. I learned almost everything from her. Being raised by a dog breeder, that passion was ultimately passed onto me.

I have experience in both handling and training dogs in dog sports since I was 8 years old. I was a junior handler, who mainly competed in agility trials with my wonderful Australian Shepherd. I fell in love with the APBT breed in my early teen years, after seeing one preform in person. As they say, the rest is history...

Now, years later, I am a proud APBT enthusiast, breeder, and handler. My dogs and I compete heavily in Barn hunt, Lure Coursing, and PSA sports. In our down time, we participate in hunting and tracking small game animals in the desert, in all weather conditions. My dogs excel at everything I ask of them, and are extremely confident with themselves. They truly love their jobs and to work alongside me.

RIP to the amazing dog that started this lifelong journey with me. You were an amazing agility champion, family dog, best friend, and everything in-between. 15 years together was not long enough... You are deeply, and truly missed every day, Rumba. Thank you for everything.
