Hearts Alive Village is centrally located in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada, and was founded in 2013 because of an intense need to help save dogs and cats that were losing their lives in an overcrowded shelter system. We learned early that our priority for building resources s

hould target preventing animals from entering the shelter in the first place. We offer several supportive services to families such as a pet food and supplies bank, rehoming for pet owners who have passed away or are unable to continue to care for their pets, training resources, temporary boarding for those experiencing a housing crisis or hospital stay, and low cost spay/neuter. Our most recent resource is an affordable veterinary clinic for families struggling to access care with payment options that fit their budgets for those who cannot qualify for conventional credit.

That’s 64 lives given a fresh start, 64 homes filled with new joy, and hopefully, 64 perfect matches that continue to grow in love.

One adoption we’re especially celebrating is Rocco’s (slide 8)! This sweet boy waited so patiently, and now he’s finally found his people. 💛

Yep! You heard that right. For just $5, you can protect your pet and stay on the right side of the law.

Starting August 4, 2025, Clark County is requiring all pets over 4 months to be microchipped, Same as City of Las Vegas pets. Don't be that person frantically posting in lost pet groups. Be the hero your pet thinks you are.

Our Hybrid Foster Program is a flexible way to make a big impact — especially for larger dogs (30+ lbs) who need a break from kennel life. You provide a safe place, some love, and a little time. We provide the rest — food, supplies, vet care, and full support.

Spence came to the Cat Café with his buddies Flare and Rocket after their family faced financial hardship. While still a little nervous, he's the most confident of the trio, and we’re loving getting to know this handsome grey boy more each day.

My name’s Indy, and I was found wandering a complex that was being torn down. Thanks to my microchip, they discovered I started my journey with a rescue group all the way in Indiana.

I may not hear very well, but I’m a quiet, gentle soul who’s slowly warming up to the spotlight here at the cat café. I love catnip and I’m learning a few tricks I can’t wait to show off. It’s Animal Rights Awareness Week, and Maisie’s story reminds us why this work matters.

When little Maisie arrived at Hearts Alive Village, she carried the weight of unimaginable suffering—painful injuries, medical neglect, and a past no animal should ever endure.

Thanks to our partnership with Clark County Animal Protection Services, our veterinary forensics team was able to document her condition, provide expert findings, and support the case that led to charges against her former owners.

Maisie may have lost an eye, but she gained something far more powerful: a life filled with love, comfort, and safety. Today, she’s a spoiled princess with her own YouTube channel and a forever family that adores her.

Thanks to a grant from , Maka and Mata were given a second chance. 💛

Pulled from the municipal shelter at just 4 weeks old, both kittens were diagnosed with eyelid agenesis — a painful condition causing their eyelashes to scratch their eyes. With support from OKC, they received expert care from Dr. Brinkman, including cryoablation treatment to relieve their discomfort.

These tiny but mighty siblings never let it slow them down! They're thriving in foster care, spending their days zooming, pouncing, and snuggling — and they’ll be ready for adoption after their upcoming spay/neuter next week. 🐾
