Yesterday we lost a huge part of our Southern Nevada Pug Rescue family. If you had ever been to Pug-O-Rama or anything pug related you have met the amazing Jessica Scott. She was always there to give you a warm welcome and a big hug. She was also the incredible half of what we all know as Jess and Jennifer M. Legate. She passed after a short illness and she will be deeply missed by our entire community.

Now we need your help. We need to send Jess off with all the pug love we have and we need your support. We are fundraising to give her the celebration of life she deserves and make this period a little lighter for Jenn and their family. Please donate today to this important memorial fund. Every dollar will go to Jennifer who has done so much for all of us and our babies over the years. Every single dollar helps get us to our $5000 goal. Sending all the pug love to you and your families. Please like and share this donation link with your networks to help support this amazing family (our family) in their time of need. 💜

We all know and love Jessica and Jennifer. We have known them for years and both of them… Annette Marquart needs your support for Jessica Scott Memorial Fund

Hi Everyone! Remember me Frankie? Well, even though the rescue closed they are still taking care of me living my best life. I got to see my favorite Dogtor this week and he said he can't believe how well I have done considering I came in to rescue with 4 major fractures in my neck and back. He said my forever foster mommy has made sure I get everything I can out of life, no matter my limitations. The rescue thought it would be a success if I lived a couple good years with no abuse and it's been like 5 years now that I get to be taken care of, snuggled, and loved so completely. Can you believe it? Rescue rocks!
Just wanted to update everyone and say HI! I hope the pandemic has been easy on my rescue friends and family. Pandemics are scary, but if it means more time for puggies like me then it's not so bad.
Just wanted to give you a good update since I had such a good dogtor visit.
Look at me and my "brothers and sisters"! Aren't I the cutest? (PS- the rescue ladies wanted to make sure to thank my forever mommy. She's the best mommy I could ever have. ♡ )

A sad day for our rescue family.

One of our original board members and her husband had to say goodbye to their rescue pug Frankie yesterday. Frankie was one of our very first pugs in rescue. He helped train/teach/initiate us original board members on the importance of good paperwork, rules, and some of the "what can go wrong and right" in this crazy rescue world.

But most importantly Frankie was his mom's whole world for over 15 years. Frankie was loved in a way that we had hoped all pugs adopted from SNPR would be loved = Completely.

Although we are not currently operating as a rescue, we will always be family.

Our board members created an unbreakable bond and so today we are all grieving the loss of Rescue Alumni, Frankie.

To Frankie's mom and dad I (Jennifer) want to say I am so very sorry for this heartbreaking news, but also so very grateful for the example of the best kind of unconditional love Frankie received for so very long.

Because I know Frankie is such a giant part of who you are as a family, this will be undoubtedly hard... but as you know, he was totally worth it. And because you allowed him not only in your home, but in your heart...I know he is still with you in the way that matters most. ♡

We all love you V&W.

See you at the bridge Frankie. (Visit your mom in her dreams soon. She needs that.)

As you all know, when we closed rescue we made the decision to continue to keep rescue pug Frankie on our "hospice" like care. This week has been extremely tough on Frankie. If you remember, Frankie came in to rescue after being badly beaten. He had 3 prominent fractures in his neck and back. After seeing our vet as well as 2 specialists, everyone agreed that 1 of the fractures was so severe and fragile he would not make it through surgery. We opted at that time for "quality of life" instead of "quantity". We placed Frankie in the best care possible for this pug.. He rallied! He has had nearly 4 thriving years with medications, laser therapies, and of course, SO MUCH LOVE! Tomorrow he will see the vet and find out if this is just a bad spell he is having and we can adjust any treatments, or is it time to have tough conversations? Please, all you prayer warriors, and pug angels on earth, please, please send Frankie and his mom Cynthia all the love you rescue warriors have inside you tomorrow. Tonight Frankie is comfortably resting on his heating pad and getting love from his pug siblings and mommy.
Thanks everyone. Pug hugs to you and your families, and of course to Frankie. ♡♡♡

We gathered in the park today to celebrate friendship and support each other through the loss of one of our dearest friends and volunteers, Diana Leonard. The sun was out, the weather could not have been better. Yesterday's rain left a few puddles for the pups to play in and although the meet-up was bittersweet, the pups helped put so many smiles on our faces. Thank you to all who came out to give hugs, and pug love. We will have another meet-up in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for a date, time, and location.

We miss you Diana, but all those pugs (and honorary "pugs", and even a chipmunk) today reminded us you're still really with us. (Where it matters most, in our hearts.) ♡♡♡

Our Las Vegas rescue community is really feeling the loss of Diana Leonard. She was such a big part of so many of us. The weather has warmed up and we think a pug meet up is long overdue. Let's surround ourselves with pugs/pups and friends who understand the grief we are all feeling. Come meet us at the dog park on Warm Springs and Eastern this Sunday February 23rd at 10 AM for support, friendship, hugs, pugs, laughs, and probably some tears. We all could use some of Diana's care free spirit and contagious smile. Who's coming?

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of a major part of who we as a rescue have been since 2009. Diana Leonard always said that when she died, she would like to live at the Rainbow Bridge. Knowing how she cared for sincerely 100's of rescue pugs on earth, we are confident today she joined her beloved husband Young Leonard, and their numerous babies at the Rainbow Bridge to live out their life's journey together, in heaven.
We are heartbroken for Diana's family but are finding some condolences knowing she is reunited with her soul mate and is finally at peace with Young and the pugs.
Diana, here's hoping you and Young are already on the recliners together enjoying a martini and surrounded by your babies and every foster pug that preceded you to the bridge.

We love you Diana. ♡
Rest In (Pug) Paradise dear friend.

Saturday we need to ask for help from a "few good men and women" to help unload the uhaul at 8:15 AM at the park before Pug O Rama, and then we also need help after the event loading everything back up in the uhaul so we can get the truck back to our garage in a timely manner. Is anyone available to help before or after the event? ♡
