One of our alumni pugs named Beau (Bobo) was trying out his new wheels this week in Pahrump. Listen to the pure love and joy of his mom when "BoBo" makes a friend. This made our heartbreaking 2 weeks so much better. (Turn your speaker on!) We wish every baby knew this kind of unconditional love. #adopt #rescuepugs #southernnevadapugrescue (thank you to Beau's family for sharing this video, but mostly thank you for loving your special guy so completely!)
Meet Lucy.
8 year old pug that was surrendered yesterday with a severe disc injury that has gone untreated. Stay tuned for more information today as we have her in for a spay, major dental, and laser treatment.
Your donations yesterday for the pug that died will help us treat this sweet girl who needed rescue and got it because of this pug community of pug love. ♡
We can't wait till Lucy is feeling so much better.
Why donate to SNPR? Well we have many reasons (if you adopted from us, you have one of them!), but as you know, pug medical expenses can be huge. And sometimes we get in cases that we don’t know what the outcome will be.
Frankie was one such case, he came into rescue in August 2015, with a neck that was fractured in 3 places. He was in pain and we were unsure if he’d ever walk again. We will always do what we we can for a pug in our rescue, as long as they have a good quality of life. With Frankie we were unsure- but he wanted and deserved a chance. He was at our vets for a long time and we found the right combo of meds that helped. He started to walk! He was placed in a forever foster home that loves him and lets him be exactly who he is- he was unsure of people because of his past but he loved the other pugs in the house. As you can see by the video below, he is a happy little pug! He still needs medication and gets regular laser therapy along with many vet visits to keep him comfortable and pain free. So you can be sure your donations go to a good cause.
Nevada’s Big Give goes on through midnight so there’s still time to help us reach our goal!

Update on Baby Girl (pics in the comments). BG has been with SNPR for a couple months now and we have some updates on this spunky girl!
As you can see by the video , she enjoys bossing other pugs around even if she is a little wobbly.
She is a love bug who spends most of the time laying down next to you. She does better if she has carpet or rugs to walk on and she’d love a family who is home often. Her foster family expresses her bladder which is the easiest way to keep her from having accidents, or she is used to a diaper for when her people are away.
