A very exciting day for us on the farm, our first field trip! The kiddos were able to see/feed the animals, collect eggs, harvest (and snack on) some carrots, learn about the tractor, plant their own veggies to take home, and to top it off, we visited our friends next door to feed the horses some of those fresh carrots. So fun!

Farming is not glamorous but it sure is a lot more fulfilling than most jobs. I get the opportunity to provide real, fresh and healthy food to my community. And I’ve learned a skill I’ll use for a lifetime.

Currently, I’m soaking wet from rinsing carrots in the wind but I’m not sitting at a desk for hours on end and I’m my own boss (the chickens, Moose, Ellie and Daisy may think otherwise 🐓🐮🐷🐐…🤪)

The last few years we have learned a lot. Our first season was overwhelming and new. Our last season we had to slow down to adjust to life with a new baby. This year, I am so excited for the things we have in the works. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish 🤩
