Yeah!! Hagrid is cone free 🥳🎉
He had his vet recheck and is healing wonderfully from his pr*****ed re**um surgery, 3 weeks ago! We’re monitoring him for another two weeks, making sure things go smoothly
If there’s any swelling or redness, will just put the cone back on for a few hours until it reduces. We also have an inflammation cream. Thankfully, it’s been 36 hours without any issues 🙏🏻
Hagrid has so much energy, he rarely sits in my lap anymore. It’s very hard to get him to even sit still for a good video or photo.

Sorry for the lack of posting, it’s hard to be wrangling kittens 🤣

No, Matisse doesn’t sleep in the foster room. He does love to be in there with Hagrid. The energy in the room is very calm and quiet, very different than when Luna was here.
I may need to take a nap myself 🛌

Isn’t he the cutest kitten? The last photo shows his little black chin splat 🖤
He’s doing great and much more outgoing now that Luna’s adopted. Her energy level was just too much for him.
His re**um area is still a bit red and swollen, it does take time for kittens to heal after a pr*****ed re**um surgery. I only remove the cone for a few minutes, and always supervised. It breaks my heart to have to put the cone back on❤️‍🩹
We’ll have a recheck in a few days with the vet. I’m hoping everything is on track 👍🏻 he is not up for adoption until he’s fully healed and the cone has been off for a few days. I don’t know when that will be so please be patient.

Happy adoption day to Luna and her new family 🥳
To my surprise, they were waiting at the adoption center to meet Luna right when we arrived! How exciting to know they loved her so much ❤️
Her new family will love and spoil her. We went through all the requirements of her needing to eat only dry kitten food. She’ll have 2 older kitties to play with, as well as extended family that will bring their cats over to play with her 💯 Luna hit the jackpot 🍀

Good luck, baby girl! You went through so much with a pr*****ed re**um, the surgery to resolve it, and living in a cone for weeks, which was horrible but necessary. You are loved by so many! You’ll now live the best life, Full of love and happiness 🫶🏻

Sweet Matisse 💖
He loves these moments of playing with my foster kittens! I think they wore him out 😳🤣
He’s doing great, but as a hospice foster that can change at any minute due to his heart issues. He has VSD, Ventricular septal defect, which is a hole between the chambers of his heart. We don’t know how much time he has left, it could be a few years, it could be tomorrow.
Every day is a blessing with him 💝

Luna’s up for adoption 🎉
I can’t believe she’s finally ready! Luna had a pr*****ed re**um, with surgery correcting it in January. Her rear end looks amazing and she’s pooping just fine. We did determine that wet kitten food bothers her digestive system 🥺 It irritated her re**um area, making it red and swollen for just a few hours. To avoid this, she must be kept on dry kitten food for a few more months or even permanently.
Just under 6 months old, she’s very playful and high energy 🏎️ she loves to climb, jump, and explore. She’s also very sweet and cuddly. Loves to snuggle in your arms and purr away. Would be great in a medium-high energy home.
She’d be great with other cats, that are playful and tolerate her jumping/wrestling. Should be fine with calm dogs that have been around cats before, after a slow introduction.
Not a first come, first serve basis. I strive to find the best home environment based on the kitten’s personality. SHe’s spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is $150.

Sweet dreams Hagrid 💭
He’s still wearing the cone, I’m just giving him a break for few minutes. It’s been 2 weeks since his re**um purse-string surgery. His stitches look great, we have a recheck tomorrow. It’ll be another week before the stitches can be removed.
📌 not up for adoption at this time. Once his stitches are removed next week and the vet gives us the OK, I’ll start to take adoption inquiries for him.

Sweet Luna is still rocking’ the cone 🤦‍♀️
Yesterday, we removed the cone during supervised times and she did great. I decided to leave the cone off overnight since she did so well.
Unfortunately, within those 7 hours, her butt area was a bit red and swollen. I believe it’s from licking/cleaning herself. She’s going 💩 just fine and no straining. The cone went back on and her butt area looks great after a few hours. It might be as simple as removing the cone and letting it stay off 🤷‍♀️
At this time, we won’t open her up for adoption inquiries. We need to determine what the doctor advises when we have our recheck in a few days.

Hagrid had his recheck today, his re**um looks amazing ! The vet said his stitches can come out in 2 more weeks 🎉 We’ll have an interim recheck next week.
The doctor wanted Hagrid to only get dry kitten food . He loves Hills science diet dry so we’ll be feeding that to him and Luna.
Luna‘s re**um looks amazing and her recheck is next week. They’re still in separate rooms, visiting for short supervised visits a few times a day.

Sweet Luna is back from the vet hospital! She was there for 3 days, to be monitored as her re**um was red and swollen.
The doctor thought it was possibly an issue with the kitten food, causing her to strain. Once changed to Hills Science diet, her re**um quickly went back to normal!
She’ll need to keep her cone on another week until a recheck. Poor Luna🥺 this girl really needs a break.

Hagrid is loving all the alone time ! He wants to constantly snuggle and be in my lap.
Luna will stay at the vet a few more days to be monitored. They want to try different kitten food to see how she does. I know she’s in good hands, and Hagrid will love getting all my attention🥰💯

There’s great news!! Kodiak was adopted yesterday by a kind man who fell in love with him💯 another adult cat that was in the same adoption room, named Batman, was also adopted, and now they will be together living the best life🥳
No photo, some adopters usually send updates later after cats are settled in. I know he’ll be spoiled rotten!

Hagrid says “Good morning” 🌞
His butt area looks great! he’s eating, drinking and playing. The hard cone is big enough so that he cannot reach his re**um area and lick. A soft cone will bend and we can’t risk that.

he loves playing alone, Luna’s energy is a bit too much for him. He’s such a lap cat, wanting constant head rubs and to just sit in my lap.
We have a recheck in a few days at the vet. It does take a few weeks for the stitches to be removed.
If you missed my stories yesterday, Luna’s butt was red and inflamed yesterday morning. She’s at the vet being monitored to determine what might be causing the reoccurrence of swelling. Hagrid was able to move back to the bigger foster room with her gone. They are in separate rooms and have limited supervised visits together.

Hagrid is doing great! He had his neuter surgery and re**um secure surgery yesterday. He is in his own area, recovering nicely.
He’s eating, drinking and even 💩 three separate times! His rear end looks great💯 he’ll need to be in his cone until his recheck next week. It will be a few weeks before the stitches are removed though.
I’ll reunite him with Luna tonight. Thank you for all the well wishes that he recover quickly.

And…. we’re back to cone life😩🤦‍♀️
Monday morning, Luna‘s re**um looked amazing after 4 days in a cone. She did so well all day long. Overnight, she was licking her re**um area and this morning it was back to being red and swollen 🥺
She’s back in the cone for at least another week, maybe longer 🤷‍♀️
I have no updates on Hagrid, hoping to get a status later today. He’ll also be in a cone. Foster mom is gonna need some help🍷🍹🍫🍩
