Nevada SPCA Life-Saving Shelter Southern Nevada’s original nonprofit no-kill animal shelter since 1982. Funded by the community, for the community. We are not affiliated with any other SPCA.

Nevada SPCA is an independent 501 (c)(3) nonprofit shelter that is completely supported by the community through individual donations, foundation grants, special events, and fundraisers. We are not a local affiliate of the ASPCA and we do not receive funding from any government contracts.

Harley (formerly known as Harmony) came into our care a few months ago needing to shed some pounds and find her sparkle once again. ⁣✨
⁣
Fast forward to today: she’s down 22 lbs, living her best life with her husky-loving forever family (including fur sister, Luna), and absolutely thriving. ❤️🐾⁣

This big, sweet, goofy boy just spent the day enjoying a break from the shelter! ⁣

Rango is a lovable guy who’s just under 5-years-old (63 lbs) and he’s waiting patiently to become a treasured family member. This guy is cuddly, affectionate, playful, and puppy-like…he doesn’t quite realize his size and sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog. Rango has also had experience around other dogs (meet-and-greet with any current household dogs). ⁣

Storm really knows how to relax and unwind while he waits to meet his new family! ⁣😴

Storm is just the sweetest little 3.5-year-old (51 lbs) potato! He is a very special boy who is affectionate, friendly, playful, and silly! Storm was born with deformities in his hind legs which affect his mobility…but he sure does have a heart full of love! ⁣

Nevada SPCA is a donor-supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1982 as Las Vegas’ original no-kill animal shelter. Our shelter does not receive funding from any national SPCA, or government agency. At Nevada SPCA, we are dedicated to bringing pets and people together and inspiring a more humane community in Southern Nevada.

In 2019, Nevada SPCA found homes for 2,203 animals; including 923 dogs, 1,001 cats, and 279 other small animals. We currently take in dogs, cats, and small pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs, that come primarily from owner surrenders and transfers from the municipal shelter. These animals are provided with temporary shelter and lifesaving medical care until we can find them the right fit with a permanent, loving home. Nevada SPCA is a much-needed safety net for animals in our country's fastest-growing city.
