Aerial, a 15½-year-old pitbull, spent her entire life with one family. Her owner adored her, but when his wife became pregnant, she fell into the spiral of social media fear, convinced that Aerial might be dangerous to their newborn. Heartbroken and unsure what to do, her owner considered euthanasia until Furever Nevada stepped in.

We took in this sweet senior girl in August 2025. Despite everything, Aerial was gentle, affectionate, and full of love. She adores treats, belly rubs, and soft pets, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and charms everyone she meets.

Then came Elizabeth (Betsy), a 76-year-old retiree looking for a calm, friendly dog to join her on slow walks, dog park visits, and cozy afternoons on the couch. After seeing Aerial’s photo online, she felt an instant connection and drove all the way to Pahrump to meet her.

When they met, it was love at first sight. Aerial leaned right in for pets and kisses and that was it. Betsy had found her new best friend.

Now Aerial is living out her golden years surrounded by warmth, love, and friendship — the perfect ending for a dog who never stopped believing in people💛

Hutch, an 8-year-old black Lab once trained as a K9 dog, may not have passed his exam but he never lost his spark. After being surrendered to FureverNV in August 2025 due to his previous owner’s health issues, Hutch’s journey to a new beginning began.

During a field trip in his “Adopt Me” vest, a retired military couple traveling the country spotted him and it was love at first sight. Now Hutch rides across America in their RV with his new brother, Nugget, enjoying his golden years filled with love and adventure with his furever family.

🐾 Meet Havana – Sweet “Havana Banana” 🍌

Havana was rescued from The Animal Foundation after being given an euthanasia deadline. Thanks to her dedicated foster, she’s now safe, loved, and thriving.

This beautiful senior girl has overcome pneumonia and is managing kidney disease and arthritis with care. She’s gentle, spunky, and loves to toss tennis balls, explore the backyard, and go on short walks with perfect leash manners. Havana has excellent house manners, knows where the treats are kept, and greets her people with the sweetest “woo woo” when she’s excited!

Havana prefers a calm home where she can be the only pet and have all the love (and toys) to herself. She enjoys soft beds, cozy company, and gentle affection.

Our vet discovered a large, inoperable chest tumor, but you’d never know it — Havana is full of life and joy. We’re determined to provide the best medical treatment and make sure her remaining days are filled with comfort, companionship, and peace.

A Note from Furever Nevada:

We recently received a message asking about the dogs we’ve shared In Memoriam, and we wanted to take a moment to explain how and why these difficult decisions are made.

At Furever Nevada, we sometimes pull senior dogs who are terminal or near the end of their journey — not because we expect them to recover, but because we want them to spend their final days loved, comfortable, and safe instead of being euthanized alone and afraid in a shelter.

Each dog’s quality of life is discussed in detail between our rescue team, their foster/caregiver, and a licensed veterinarian. When the time comes, the foster/caregiver brings the dog to the vet for a professional evaluation and approval before any decision is made. These are never quick or easy choices — they are acts of love and compassion.

We want our supporters to know that these end-of-life rescues often cost us more than we ever receive in donations. But we continue this work because every dog deserves to leave this world peacefully, surrounded by care — not fear.

Thank you to everyone who stands by us and understands that rescue isn’t always about happy endings — sometimes it’s about giving dignity, warmth, and love in life’s final chapter.

EXCITING NEWS! Gypsy and Einstein have officially found their furever families! 🎉

Gypsy has been with us for 8 months while Einstein has been with us for over 1 year and 2 months.

Thank you to our amazing supporters who funded their rescue and care, these two sweet souls are now off to start their next happy chapter. 💕

Molly (16 y/o, black & white Lhasa Apso) – potty trained, leash-trained, relaxed, and managing Cushing’s disease with daily medication.

Ella (11 y/o, white Bichon Frise) – potty trained, leash-trained, and just as sweet as can be.

Both are calm, well-mannered, and get along with other relaxed pups. They’d thrive best in a peaceful home without small children.

They may be seniors, but they have so much love left to give. 🐶💕

Meet Wall-E — a stunning, smart, and silly 3-year-old Malinois/Shepherd mix who’s ready to rocket into his forever home! 🐶🚀

At around 90lbs of pure love and energy, Wall-E is:

🐾 Friendly, affectionate, and loves giving kisses
🐾 Playful and goofy — always up for some fun
🐾 OBSESSED with water! Kiddie pools and hose time are his jam
🐾 Social — did great in shelter playgroups (slow intros still important!)

He's neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines — the full package! ✅

Wall-E is a high-energy guy who thrives with exercise and structure. He does pull on leash and will need continued training — but he’s a smart cookie and ready to learn! 🍪✨

🚫 No small kids, please — he’s a big, bouncy boy who could accidentally knock them over.

Check out this sweet bonded pair! Molly and Ella are in search of their furever home 🐾🏡
Their foster says they are potty trained, know how to use a doggy door, and they walk well on a leash! These little ladies are very relaxed and do well with other calmer dogs.
Molly is a 16 year old black and white Lhasa Apso. She has been diagnosed with Cushing's disease and will be on medication for it for the rest of her life.
Ella is an 11 year old white Bichon Frise.
These ladies would do best in a calm home preferably without small children.
