Welcome to our newest extern, Victoria!

Victoria, originally from Peoria, Arizona, grew up surrounded by a diverse array of pets including hamsters, mice, dogs, cats, birds, fish, chickens, and ducks. This early exposure to animals played a significant role in her decision to pursue veterinary medicine, as caring for these pets was her responsibility from a young age.

During high school, Victoria began volunteering at a local shelter and participated in her school's veterinary assistant certification program, successfully obtaining her certification during her junior and senior years. She further expanded her experience by volunteering at the humane society and even traveled to Belize with her veterinary assistant program instructor to assist with vaccines and shelter work.

After completing her undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in 2020, Victoria continued her education at the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, where she is expected to graduate in August 2025.

During her externship, Victoria is particularly looking forward to observing laparoscopic spays and endoscopies. While in Las Vegas, she's excited to explore the hiking trails, try local restaurants, and visit the arts district.

In her free time, Victoria enjoys binge-watching movies with her mom, watching Grey's Anatomy, hiking, playing pickleball, and taking walks with her three dogs: Dora, Rosie, and Scooby.

Craig Road Animal Hospital is collecting donations for the Street Dogz Organization, a dedicated local group helping homeless pets and their humans in our community.

We're accepting essential items including pet food, warm blankets, cozy beds, leashes, collars, toys, and other pet care supplies that can make a real difference in their lives.

Donations can be placed in the designated collection boxes in our lobbies. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps create a better life for pets and their humans.🐾❤️

🦃 This Thanksgiving, show your pets extra love by keeping them safe and healthy! While the table is filled with tempting aromas and delicious dishes, many traditional Thanksgiving foods can pose serious risks to our furry family members. 🐶🐱

Turkey bones can splinter and cause internal injuries, while rich, fatty foods like gravy and stuffing can lead to painful pancreatitis. Onions, garlic, and certain spices commonly used in holiday cooking are toxic to pets, and desserts containing xylitol or chocolate can be life-threatening.

Instead of sharing your holiday meal, show them you care with treats specifically made for pets. Keep their regular feeding schedule, and make sure they have plenty of fresh water.

Remember, the best gift you can give your pets this Thanksgiving is keeping them safe and healthy! Share this with your family and friends! 😃🐾
