Have a great weekend

Today is King Kamehameha Day! King Kamehameha I was the first to establish a unified kingdom of Hawaii. The day is usually celebrated with a floral parade in Honolulu and ceremonial draping of the Kamehameha statue.

The state Department of Land and Natural Resources issued cease-and-desist letters to several commercial photography outlets on the island which it said have been operating without permits and in off-limits areas on Kaua‘i in a strongly worded press release last week.
