PART 2: Farewell to the Senior Sanctuary - The final L.E.A.N. horse to leave our pasture paradise is pretty Belle. She landed in a beautiful soft place at our sister rescue, the HAV Horse Rescue, in their equine facility on Kyle Canyon, with her longtime friend Gus.

Farewell to the Senior Sanctuary: Lucky & Clover have been being tenderly cared for by a team of wonderful L.E.A.N. volunteers including Terri Robinson, owner of our Jake Suede who sadly crossed over last year. Now, his spirit welcomes these two old-timers into her loving home and barn. Thank you to everyone, especially Karen Winnefeld and Marilyn Hite, for allowing us to use their pasture property for our old ones for over a decade. So many found this a beautiful place to spend their final years, and we are forever grateful.

Update on our poster girl! SiouxZQ developed a quarter crack recently and visited with Dr. Winchell at DPEC. Mom Jeannine was glad to hear her prognosis is good and with some time and extra help from her farrier, SiouxZQ should make a full recovery.
