Overpopulation is overwhelming, but teamwork helps! 💙 We’re proud to team up with Nye County Animal Control to help tackle community cat overpopulation there. 🐱 With help from the cat-loving community, 27 cats were trapped and transported to our clinic, where we provided spay, neuter, vaccines, and treatment for illness or injury. 💙 Our community cats now have a cozy, custom-built haven thanks to the incredible generosity and hard work of Steve Kohon, Facilities Manager and resident MacGyver at the Nevada SPCA Life-Saving Shelter. 🐾 Now we need a name for it! While Prince is already neutered, fluffy cats like him can sometimes get a little tangled up, so it was time for a little extra TLC. ✨ Out of the 15 cats that Kim, Joyce, and their awesome coworkers care for outside of Las Vegas Paving Corp., Prince is the only one who will brave the indoors to enjoy some AC and indulge in tasty treats. 😎 But don’t get any ideas—he’s still not a fan of cuddles. 😂 We’re so grateful for businesses and individuals like Kim and the Las Vegas Paving team, who are true LIFESAVERS for our community cats. Toby Comes Home After a Year!

Over a year ago, Toby and his brother went missing, leaving their family heartbroken. 💔 They found his brother had tragically been hit by a car and feared Toby had met the same fate. Not so! 💖 He was trapped as a community cat and brought into our Community Cat Clinic for care. His family was ecstatic when we scanned his chip and called the number registered. They couldn’t wait to hold their lucky, chonky boy. Someone must have been making sure Toby was cared for! 🐱 While here, Toby was neutered and vaccinated. 🧡 Meet this orange beauty, Butterfly! 🦋 This calm 15-year-old boy was found to be abandoned outside, defending himself against a dog! 💔 It must have been so traumatizing for him! Luckily, he was able to get away, but not without a couple minor wounds. When Butterfly arrived at our clinic, we quickly discovered he was a senior and already neutered, but in desperate need of a good shave and lots of TLC for his wounds. 😖 Our Community Cat Coordinator, Nathalie, is currently searching for a rescue to take in this charming senior for adoption, and his doting caretaker will be there as he recovers from this rough patch. 💙 We were so happy to help this boy transform into a beautiful "butterfly" (sporting a shaved look)! He's incredibly sweet and full of love, just waiting for a second chance at a forever home. We are so grateful for his caretaker who brought him in. She has such a big heart.
