🐶 Meet Peter, one of our first patients to benefit from The Romeo Fund’s expanded services. We couldn't get enough of his adorable and perpetually worried mug. 😍

The Romeo Fund has helped hundreds of families on SNAP and Medicaid access spay and neuter services. Now, Rabies vaccines and microchips are fully covered for eligible pets, whether they are getting fixed or not! 💙

Peter came in for his neuter and walked out with:

In most places, kitten season lasts just a few months. But in sunny Las Vegas, our warm weather extends the season. ☀️ While we love adorable kittens (like these cuties 😻), this prolonged kitten season also means more challenges. More litters means:

🐾 More kittens needing care.
🐾 A greater need for spay/neuter programs to help prevent overpopulation.
🐾 More illness, injury, and deaths
🐾 More demand for fosters, adopters, and resources.

Wow! We've been awarded a $1,000 grant from our local Supercenter on Charleston Blvd and Decatur Blvd to support The Romeo Fund! 🙌

We can't thank them enough and neither can Zeus here, who received a neuter for just $20 with our Romeo Fund. 🐶

This grant is a huge help for those on fixed budgets who want their pets to receive top-notch care. 💙 Heartfelt thanks go out to our local Walmart #3473 for their incredible generosity and compassion for our community's dogs, cats, and their families. Their support in providing high-quality, low-cost veterinary care is so valuable!

🐾 Can eyes get more soulful than beautiful Wednesday’s here? We’re smitten! 😍 But watch out—Maddie Martin is hot on her tail in this cuteness competition with those lashes! 🐶✨

Both of these sleepy beauties stopped by today for their spays and vaccinations, and they received their 5-in-1 vaccines for FREE thanks to our amazing partners at Petco Love! 💉💖

We’re beyond grateful to Petco Love for their unwavering support—not just to us, but to thousands of animal welfare organizations across the country. 🙌 Their vaccine initiative is a true game-changer, helping promote pet health and prevent dangerous diseases like parvovirus, distemper, and panleukopenia.

Their mission? To ensure pets everywhere, especially in underserved communities, get the care they need. And today, Wednesday and Maddie are proof that love, vaccines, and community partnerships save lives! 🐾🥰

Oh no! 🥺 This poor feral community cat came in with plastic stuck around his head! We couldn’t remove it until he was sedated for his neuter, but he’s all safe now, thank goodness. 😻

His experience inspired us to share a PSA on how to protect cats from this kind of harm. Here are a few helpful tips:

✂️ Crush Cans and Cut Containers: Flatten cans and bottles and slice open plastic containers (like yogurt cups) before disposal to prevent cats from getting stuck or injured.

🔒 Secure Trash: Use bungee cords, clips, or weights to secure trash lids, or invest in trash cans with locking lids to make them cat-proof.

🏠 Keep Trash Indoors: Store garbage in a garage to keep curious kitties away.

🍋 Scent Deterrents: Sprinkle citrus peels, vinegar, or use commercially available repellents around the trash area. Cats generally dislike these scents.

📦 Secure Sharp Objects: Wrap sharp objects in heavy paper or tape before disposal.

🍽️ Seal Food Scraps: Place food scraps in sealed bags to minimize enticing smells.

🐾 Designate Feeding Stations: If you care for community cats, set up feeding stations away from trash areas and provide food at regular times to reduce scavenging.

About 75 MGM Grand Las Vegas employees got together to it sit down, hang out, and fold cat trap newspapers for us! What a group! 💙

Since the beginning of this year we have been coordinating with MGM Resorts International for newspaper folding, and they have stepped up to help. 🙌 So many thanks to MGM employees and their philanthropy department!

We use so much newspaper for cat traps, so it is quite convenient to easily slip folded dirty paper out and clean paper in to keep our community cats as comfortable as possible during their stay with us. 🐱

🌟 Linda Green, our phenomenal volunteer, received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Silver Award from the Governor’s Points of Light Awards, hosted by Nevada Volunteers. 🌟 We’re bursting with pride!

For nearly 20 years, Linda has been an essential part of our Spay & Neuter and Community Cat Clinic. But she's been dedicated to animal welfare for over 40 years, TNRing and rescuing for well over a thousand cats! Talk about a true hero! 🐾 🐱

It was a joy to watch her accept this honor, celebrating her decades of tireless work to make Southern Nevada a safer and happier place for animals and the people who love them. With countless feline lives saved, Linda’s passion shines brighter than ever. She absolutely deserves this spotlight—and we’re so lucky to have her! 💖

🐾 This is Thicker Than a Snicker! 😂

This slightly friendly (but mostly feral) community cat has been hanging out at Eldorado High School, charming faculty members with his rugged good looks and independent spirit. When they noticed he wasn't ear tipped, they knew they needed to help him. ✨

Snicker was safely neutered, vaccinated, and ear tipped at our Community Cat Clinic. 🙌 Now, this handsome guy is back in his neighborhood, fully recovered and thriving!

No more risky prowling for mates or territory fights for him. Instead, he’s living his best, stress-free life while bringing smiles to the students and teachers who care for him. 🐱

We're so grateful to be part of stories like Snicker’s, helping community cats live healthier and happier lives. 💙

🐱 93 absolutely beautiful community cats came in today - all are receiving high-quality, lifesaving medical care. They DESERVE it! 💙 Whenever we get this busy with kitties it's a heartbreaking sight, but we feel so much hope, too. 🙏

People love and care enough for these cats to bring them here. 🥹 We couldn't be more grateful our city is full of so many kind and hardworking cat lovers. We have so much respect for them.

🐾 Prince’s Makeover! 🐾 Meet Prince, the dapper community cat who just got a much-needed spa day! 💇‍♂️ This long-haired cutie was brought in by the amazing Kim Lovelady Henry for an exam and a fresh shave. While Prince is already neutered, fluffy cats like him can sometimes get a little tangled up, so it was time for a little extra TLC. ✨ Out of the 15 cats that Kim, Joyce, and their awesome coworkers care for outside of Las Vegas Paving Corp., Prince is the only one who will brave the indoors to enjoy some AC and indulge in tasty treats. 😎 But don’t get any ideas—he’s still not a fan of cuddles. 😂 We’re so grateful for businesses and individuals like Kim and the Las Vegas Paving team, who are true LIFESAVERS for our community cats. Toby Comes Home After a Year!

Over a year ago, Toby and his brother went missing, leaving their family heartbroken. 💔 They found his brother had tragically been hit by a car and feared Toby had met the same fate. Not so! 💖 He was trapped as a community cat and brought into our Community Cat Clinic for care. His family was ecstatic when we scanned his chip and called the number registered. They couldn’t wait to hold their lucky, chonky boy. Someone must have been making sure Toby was cared for! 🐱 While here, Toby was neutered and vaccinated. 🧡 Meet this orange beauty, Butterfly! 🦋 This calm 15-year-old boy was found to be abandoned outside, defending himself against a dog! 💔 It must have been so traumatizing for him! Luckily, he was able to get away, but not without a couple minor wounds. When Butterfly arrived at our clinic, we quickly discovered he was a senior and already neutered, but in desperate need of a good shave and lots of TLC for his wounds. 😖 Our Community Cat Coordinator, Nathalie, is currently searching for a rescue to take in this charming senior for adoption, and his doting caretaker will be there as he recovers from this rough patch. 💙 We were so happy to help this boy transform into a beautiful "butterfly" (sporting a shaved look)! He's incredibly sweet and full of love, just waiting for a second chance at a forever home. We are so grateful for his caretaker who brought him in. She has such a big heart. 🐾 Our Community Cat Coordinator, Nathalie, teamed up with Nevada SPCA for an incredible food distribution at Heaven Can Wait! 🐱🐶❤️ Thanks to the NSPCA’s generous donation of 10 ENTIRE PALLETS of pet food, Nathalie and some of our clinic team spent hours distributing food to pet parents, rescues, and community cat caretakers in need. 🤩 WOW! The smiles on the faces of the recipients say it all! 😊 We're incredibly proud of our team and grateful for our partners.
