Thank you for taking a moment to read about Long Life. The first thing you should know is that each individual student can advance at their own pace. Casual or more in depth training styles are available at request of student. All kung fu taught is shown with real life self defense applica

tions. We emphasize healthy martial arts growth among peers that will challenge you during class but set attainable martial arts goals you never thought you could achieve. Traditional martial arts from the East go back to the time of the legendary Bodhidharma where the origins of kung fu are fabled to have begun. Various kung fu styles arose from China after being inspired heavily by the yogic practices of India. The Long Life curriculum is wide and varied and includes smart modern self defense for real life situations, kung fu animal styles, yoga, meditation and stretching, tai chi, body toning, classical Chinese weapons, stress reduction techniques to use with exercise and more! After some preliminary training a student will be able to have the confidence and able body to act if needed in a real life self defense situation and not freeze or become helpless. Basic is what works and we teach all the basics of martial arts in great detail and advanced martial arts to challenge the mind and fitness levels as each student grows and demands more challenging techniques. Later students will learn more advanced fitness and martial arts including but not limited to the following.
