Pets & Pals Pets&Pals is a nonprofit adoption center dedicated to the welfare and humane treatment of animals This is not your typical shelter.

We sit on a few acres of landscaped, manicured land that houses state of the art dog kennels that are complete with heated floors. Dogs can choose to be on the inside or outside sections of their large, open kennels. There are four play yards that our guests enjoy on a daily basis (two of which even have pools!), and the dogs are treated with attention, chew toys, blankets, and treats. Their runs

are always kept as clean as possible. Our feline residents enjoy a "kitten room" for the rambunctious babies, and large indoor/outdoor cat houses that have heating and air for our "older" kitties. We are open by appointment if you see something you like.

This handsome boy is a 4-5 month old black retriever mix with a heart full of love. He truly “found” his way to us, wandering onto someone’s property and making it clear he was ready for a home. The kind person who brought him to the shelter spent only a day with him but thought he was a very nice boy. Nemo is still very much a puppy, full of playful energy and ready to learn all about being a well-behaved and cherished family member. He loves to play with other dogs and splash in our pools. She was originally a friendly stray who chose her first family, making herself right at home with them. Scooby was discovered abandoned at a local Fairgrounds, and was ready to go home with anyone who paid him just a little attention. Despite the sad start to his story, he has remained happy-go-lucky and eager to please, winning over the staff here with his affectionate demeanor. He is estimated to be around 10-12 months old, and he’s a true gentleman in the making - ready to “sit” when asked and gently take his treat. This playful pup was brought in with his two sisters at 2 months old, all found abandoned in a warehouse in Stockton. Since arriving at the shelter, he’s been showing off his goofy personality, boundless energy, and love for cuddles. Meet Thunder!🤍

Are you ready to own your own wolf?! This guy sure looks like one - he currently weighs 80 lbs and is all legs! He is a Husky mix, but based on his appearance, we think dad was a Shepherd. This young man was actually born at our shelter on 3/18/2022 and adopted shortly after he was weaned off mama. His owner let us know that he no longer had the time to care for him, so he’s sadly back with us. This guy has been used to the home life and does not belong at a shelter, so we hope he can find his new home quickly. Some of his best features: He’s housetrained(!!), he’s a fantastic house dog (no accidents or anxiety reported), he’s neutered, vaccinated, and ready to go home with you today! His previous owners also told us that he lived with another dog and did fine, and he was great with kids; he just doesn’t know his own size and can knock a youngen over on accident. We have amazing news - Raven has been adopted!!🥳💗

Raven spent 604 days here at the shelter waiting for her forever home. She came in with a litter of shepherd puppies, but she was the only one who looked a little different. This amazing family had been watching her since she was first brought in, but was waiting until the time was right. We will miss Raven very much but are so excited for her to start her new life! Meet Rudy B! ❤️

Rudy is a mixed breed, but he has the body of a Dachshund and the face of a Pitty, such a fun combo!  Rudy is about 3 1/2 years old and weighs 32 pounds. He was living a happy life when his owner unexpectedly passed away, leaving Rudy with no place to live. The family wanted to take him in, but their dogs were not happy with a new addition. Rudy B isn’t overly active and is already neutered and potty trained, so may be a great companion for someone who is just looking for a low-key dog who is friendly and loves to hang out in the house with you. Rudy is already potty trained, so that is one big bonus. We can’t say 100% what all he is mixed with, but he does strongly favor the 2 breeds we have guessed here. Whatever Rudy’s breed make-up, he is a loving dog who just wants a fresh start with a new family who will love him. Go to our website to learn more and apply for him today!🐶
