Pets & Pals Pets&Pals is a nonprofit adoption center dedicated to the welfare and humane treatment of animals This is not your typical shelter.

We sit on a few acres of landscaped, manicured land that houses state of the art dog kennels that are complete with heated floors. Dogs can choose to be on the inside or outside sections of their large, open kennels. There are four play yards that our guests enjoy on a daily basis (two of which even have pools!), and the dogs are treated with attention, chew toys, blankets, and treats. Their runs

are always kept as clean as possible. Our feline residents enjoy a "kitten room" for the rambunctious babies, and large indoor/outdoor cat houses that have heating and air for our "older" kitties. We are open by appointment if you see something you like.

Just look at these three absolutely adorable 2-month-old German Shepherd mix puppies who are ready to steal your heart! These playful pups were found abandoned in a warehouse in Stockton, but their spirits are anything but broken. Meet Sunny D!☀️
Sunny is a 6-month-old orange tabby with a heart full of sunshine and a coat as bright as his personality! This adorable boy was found as a stray kitten and has come a long way thanks to the kind person who rescued him. After being fed, socialized, and neutered, Sunny is now ready to find his forever home. With his playful and curious nature, Sunny D. loves to explore and interact with his surroundings.

Though he hasn’t been around children, he has been friendly with everyone he’s met so far. He gets along well with other cats and has no trouble using the litterbox, making him a great companion for any household. Meet Choco!🤎

This adorable 10-month-old boy is a mixed breed of Chow and Retriever, looking for his forever home. He came to us from a family who, unfortunately, didn’t have enough time to give him the attention he deserves. Choco has experience living with kids aged 4 and up and is super friendly with everyone he meets!

This smart pup is eager to learn and will likely pick up training quickly. While he hasn’t had the chance to enjoy indoor living yet, he dreams of snuggling up inside with his new family. Choco is still young at heart and will need to learn some house manners, but he’s ready to adapt! Weighing in at 51 pounds, he’s not expected to grow much taller, though he might fill out a bit more.

Choco gets along well with other dogs, loves splashing around in water, and knows some commands like sit, give paw, and speak. He’s an active dog who thrives in a home where he can enjoy daily walks and playtime. These adorable brothers came in together and share a special bond. Otto is the outgoing one, while Junior looks up to him for confidence. We’re committed to finding them a loving forever home where they can stay together.

Both boys are sweet and have been indoor pets. Their previous setup included a gated area with open crates for sleeping. Unfortunately, they were left alone for long hours, which means they’ll need a little help with potty training in their new home. They’ve been great with other dogs their size but haven’t been around cats.

We believe he may have some Welsh Springer Spaniel in him, but his facial structure and body type definitely showcase that classic Border Collie look. Meet Gusteau! 💙

This handsome guy is one you don’t see every day! Gusteau is a Lagotto Romagnolo, a unique sporting breed, born on 09/03/2023, and currently weighs 35 pounds. He’s smart and eager to please, especially when treats are involved! Gusteau knows commands like “play,” “sit,” and “down,” showcasing his solid training foundation.

He was brought to our shelter because his family felt they couldn’t provide him with the time he needed to burn off his energy. Already housetrained, he would be a fantastic addition for someone who appreciates sporting breeds. Just a heads up—Gusteau doesn’t get along with cats and will chase them, so a cat-free home is essential. He has lived with older kids and done well, and his previous owners noted that he was great with other dogs too. Gusteau loves to play with his dog friends here at the shelter and enjoys splashing around in the pools!

These adorable pups came in as a trio and are estimated to be around 13 weeks old. We believe they are Pug mixes, sporting those charming curled tails, but we’re not quite sure about their other breed. Based on their current weight, we anticipate they’ll reach a medium size when fully grown, but time will tell! These playful pups love their toys and enjoy plenty of nap time. We’re thrilled to announce a special adoption event! Adoption fees for all dogs who have been with us for over a year are now just $50! These wonderful pups have been waiting too long for their forever homes, and we’re ready to change that.

‼️Meet Todd, our longest resident, who is available for FREE! Thanks to a generous donor, Todd’s adoption fee has been covered, making it even easier for his new family to welcome him home.‼️

Our goal is to find the best homes for these furry companions, and reducing the fees is just one way we can help potential adopters.
