‼️ CHECK THE CURRENT STATE REQUIREMENTS (Found on the fairs website)‼️

🔴Reminder VCPR Forms are REQUIRED for all livestock entries (INCLUDING Rabbits) within 90 days of check in at the fair. (A copy of these will be collected open check-in so please have extra copies made)
‼️PLEASE NOTE: Rabbits 🐇 are EXEMPT from visual in-person inspection BUT a VCPR still must be signed by a licensed Veterinarian.
⚪️Health Paper(CVI) and VCPR are required for ALL swine 30 Days prior to entry! (A copy of these will be collected open check-in so please have extra copies made) 30 DAYS PRIOR TO CHECK-IN at the fair.

🟡Horses, Cattle, Camelids, Goats, Sheep, and Rabbits will need a VCPR (Veterinary Client Patient Relationship) Form filled out and signed by a licensed veterinarian 90 days prior to check in at the fair OR a Health Paper(CVI) will be accepted in place of VCPR forms BUT must be within 30 days of check in at the fair.

🟠Vaccinations/Tag Requirements:

🐴Horses are required to have a current Rabies vaccine and a negative coggins (EIA) test all done by a licensed veterinarian and noted on VCPR Form. It is RECOMMENDED for them to be vaccinated for EWT & WN, influenza/rhinopneumonitis (flu/rhino) but not required.

🦙Ilamas and Alpacas are required to have a RFID tag or ISO compliant 15 digit microchip. It is recommended but not required that camelids are vaccinated for rabies and CD & T.

🐮Breeding, Market and Dairy Cattle are required to have a readable RFID TAG (PREFERRED), State metal tag or tattoo. It is RECOMMENDED for cattle to be vaccinated against BRSV IBR PI3 BVD (respiratory vaccine) and rabies but it is not required. (Following Meat Withdrawals with market animals)

🐑Breeding Sheep are required to have scrapie tags. It is recommended to be vaccinated for Rabies but not required.

🐐Breeding/Market Goats are required to have scrapie tag.

🐷 Breeding/Market Pigs are required to have an RFID TAG.

We would like to formally welcome Dr. Lizzie Murphy to the Lakeview family. Dr. Lizzie was born and raised in Blairsville and attended veterinary school at Ross University and Iowa State. Dr. Lizzie will be joining us in providing services for both large and small animals!

Just in case you missed it, here is the schedule for our upcoming move in weekend.

Planning Ahead:

💊🍚If your pet requires daily medication or prescription food, please plan ahead to get that ordered in advance of the move.

⛔We will not be available for services or refills from Thursday, June 26 at 7:00 pm until Monday, June 30 at 10:00 am


🚚What to expect after the move:🚚

We have recently communicated a few policy changes, namely with prescription refill requests.

💊We ask that you please allow 48 hours for refill requests to be fulfilled.💊

We now have a designated pharmacy technician most hours of operation.

This technician is responsible for all prescription refills.
So, please give advance notice so that the request can be submitted for approval and fulfillment.
Feel free to call, text, or submit a request through the patient portal.
We appreciate your cooperation in this regard.



Other Updates to prepare for:

Parking for clients is in the top lot (uphill side of the clinic)

We also offer a private room with access from the lower lot for bereavement or other patient needs upon request.

📞New Phone Menu📞

When you call into the office starting June 30, please listen closely to the new phone menu.

You will be given various options based on your reason for calling. (Appointments, refills, general questions, large animal, etc)

The purpose of this new phone menu is to better direct your questions or concerns to the proper team member.

🆕Waiting Room

In order to help decrease some of the stress of our patients, we have divided the waiting room for cats and dogs.
When you enter the new building, the dog waiting room is on the right and the cat waiting room is on the left.
If you are bringing a mixed family of cats and dogs, please have a seat on the dog side.
