Furrever home needed! You can meet me at Latrobe Animal Clinic! My name is Luna and I am 2 years old. My prior owner had to move and could not take me and my brother with them. My brother got lucky and was just adopted and now I am waiting for my turn. I am up to date on all vaccines, spayed, and FIV/FELV tested. I am very social and love pets. I get along well with other cats and kids. I have not been around dogs but I am sure you can work on that with me. Latrobe Animal Clinic is working with Sherry Knight at Cat Aid Network and you can reach her at 724-858-5452. My adoption fee is $100. Please give me a chance to call your home my own.

There has been a glitch in software from a previous sister clinic, West Newton Animal Clinic. Some of our clients are getting reminders for vaccines and appointments from them. Please call us directly if you need to schedule an appt and do not schedule through the link in the text from West Newton.

The software teams are working on it. Please be patient while it gets resolved! We apologize for any inconvenience.

Reasons to Purchase Pet Medications and Prevention Products from your Local Veterinary Clinic:

1. Guarantees
Many veterinary pharmaceutical companies only honor warranties and guarantees on medications when a pet’s medications are purchased from a veterinarian clinic’s in-house pharmacy.
For example, as long as you are giving your dog heartworm medication as directed, our pharmaceutical companies will cover the cost of treatment if your dog tests positive for heartworms.
We deal directly with our company because they know us and are more likely to cover issues that online pharmacies don’t have the capability to handle, and often give consumers the run around.
The convenience to return and/or exchange is much easier at your local vet’s office.

2. Better Care and Customer Service
Your local veterinary clinic truly cares about your pet’s well-being and treatment outcome. As a result, we use the utmost care to provide high-quality prescription medications along with ongoing
follow-up exams and dosage adjustments. If you experience any issues with results or with administering the medications, we’re always here to help and make any necessary adjustments.

3. High-Quality & Product Integrity
With online pharmacies, you don’t really know what you’re going to get, whether the medications have been stored properly, or whether they’re made from quality ingredients. When you purchase pet meds from us, you can rest assured, knowing you’ll receive a product with integrity. Online pharmacies can be overwhelming with all the choices of medications. We carry products that
we use on our own pets, so rest assured we are confident in what we dispense.

4. Accurate Dosing
When purchasing pet meds from our veterinarian, the prescription travels directly from our veterinarian to our staff member who fills your pet’s prescription, and then our front desk team
double-checks that the medication was properly filled before you leave. In other words, there’s little chance your pet will receive an incorrect medication or dosage.

5. Rebates
Sometimes, pet owners are concerned that medications from the veterinarian might be more expensive. We offer patients rebates and coupons when they are available. Plus, when there is an
actual price difference, the variation in cost is usually directly related to quality. For this reason, cheaper medications might not be equal.

6. SUPPORTING A SMALL LOCAL BUSINESS RATHER THAN LARGE CORPORATION
Online Pharmacies are large-scale corporations who are able to offer prices that smaller businesses struggle to compete with because they have enormous purchasing power and, therefore, are able to purchase extremely large quantities of products at a bulk discount, mark those products up by a small margin, then sell them to millions of people. They do not employ as many people relative to their size and store products in large warehouses with minimal overhead costs relative to a smaller business. By supporting a smaller business, you are supporting your local community, providing jobs to local people. Small businesses pay taxes that support public schools, parks, roads, and fund public service workers. Supporting online pharmacies does not benefit your community at all. Ultimately, if small, local veterinary clinic’s pharmacies are not supported and the numbers continue to trend in favor of huge, corporate online pharmacies such as Chewy.com and 1800PetMeds, we may find ourselves in a situation where small animal clinics will be forced to drastically raise prices
for other services or they may even be forced to sell to corporate veterinary practices. If this were to happen, we would lose the personalized, compassionate care of the small, local, privately-owned veterinary clinics.

02/16/2023

Hi! My name is Babe and I am a stray kitty that a Good Samaritan brought into her home to get warm and have something to eat at Christmas. She also decided I needed to see a vet. I am about 3 years old, already neutered and up to date on vaccines. Unfortunately I am FIV+ positive. While FIV is not an ideal situation, it can be managed and most kitties with FIV die of old age, NOT the disease. FIV is transmitted from one cat to another by deep puncture wounds. It is NOT spread by casual contact. I would love a home to call my own where I would be the only kitty (other kitties scare me a little.) I am very lovable and love to cuddle. My foster mom wants to make sure I gets a great home so she is willing to donate $100 to be kept as a deposit at my vet every 4 months for his continued veterinary care as needed. Please email me at [email protected] so I can forward your information to my foster mom.

Our office will be closed today from 1:00pm until 2:00pm for a staff meeting.

Please do not come during this hour to pick up medications, etc.

Thank you for your understanding!

We are currently updating our software that sends reminders for your pet’s appointments. Please call if you have any questions about the start time of your appointment.

We apologize ahead of time if you are getting multiple reminders and if you are getting reminders even after confirming. We are working hard to fix the flaws with the system.

There seems to be a lot of confusion with drop off times for surgical and dental procedures. Please call if you are getting a reminder that states a different time than what a staff member told you or a different time than what your pre-surgical paper work says.

You can call us at 724-539-8531 or email us at [email protected]

Thank you for your patience during this transition!
