You see we were born at the shelter in September and have been overlooked time and time again. Don’t let us grow up in the shelter!

Hi Everyone! I was also born at the shelter and I’m now approaching 5 months old. It would be so nice to be loved in a home where I can grow and play with my forever family. Why hasn’t anyone gave me a chance?!

Due to the cold weather, we are in need of blankets and towels for our dogs and cats. Please note that pillows and sleeping bags are not accepted. You may drop off the items inside the shelter's lobby on Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

Please bring in completed and wrapped baskets or new items to go into baskets. We are asking that all edible items (human or pet) be unopened and with good expiration dates!

Please have all donations dropped off @ AFA (386 SR 217, Latrobe, PA 15650) by Friday, January 31, 2025.

If you are looking for a way to help but do not want to donate a basket, be a Paw Sponsor or attend our event!

Hi Helloooo… it’s me, Wilma!
Some of you may know me as the 91st recipient of Lauren's Wing The Fund for Animal Care. I’ve came a long way since my PDA heart surgery I received back in October thanks to Lauren’s Wing and their loyal supporters!
I’m doing great and waiting patiently for a forever home. You would never know I received life saving heart surgery at such a young age. Right now, I’m a bright and vibrant 6-7month old Foxhound/Beagle Mix. I have been working on housebreaking and leash walking and if I do say so myself I’m getting the hang of it!
My wonderful friends here at AFA have made sure I was all taken care of with vaccines, spay, & microchip! They have given me an abundance of love but now I need a home where I can blossom and be apart of your family!
Stop by the shelter to visit with me Tuesday-Saturday noon-4pm! I will be waiting…
