Urgent help needed for a kitten attacked by a raccoon suffering serious injuries including a broken leg.

Molly was rescued by a compassionate trapper and was being cared for on a patio when an unfortunate incident occurred this past Saturday at 3 AM. In a terrifying encounter, Molly was attacked by a raccoon, which left her with severe puncture wounds and a broken hind leg, completely exposing bone.

By the time we learned about her situation late Sunday night through Facebook, Molly had not yet received any medical treatment. Understanding the critical nature of her injuries, we quickly rearranged our schedules to get her on pain medication and into surgery this morning.

After a thorough examination, it became clear that Molly's injuries were severe. She has developed a massive infection, and due to the extent of the damage, her leg required immediate amputation.

We made the decision to keep Molly with us in rescue so we can provide her with the extended critical care she desperately needs for a full recovery.

We believe that every animal deserves a chance at a healthy life, and with your support, we can help Molly heal and find her forever home.

Posting here first, because we’d like SSARF volunteers, fosters and supporters to have first dibs on stuff they may want. A very few of the items donated are posted on the Saving Sage Online Auction FB page.

We hope to post more in the next few days to give those who'd rather participate virtually versus in-person in Dade County on 12/6.

(I have three boxes of Christmas plates described on attached poster — only a sampling of them have pictures posted. So it there are specific types of dishwater you are interested in, let me know and I’ll put aside for you. For those in nearby areas, we can arrange to meet to give you your items; further away we'll need to figure out shipping costs and get that arranged)

Meet Miss Beasly — the sweetest, calmest girl you’ll ever meet.
This 4–5-year-old Pittie mix came to us in rough shape, but thanks to her loving foster, she has completely blossomed. Miss Beasly is gentle, affectionate, and loves nothing more than cozy naps and being close to her people.

She does great with dogs and cats, and she prefers a peaceful home without energetic puppies. She’s fully vetted, snuggly, and so ready to finally have the forever home she’s always deserved.

Happy Thanksgiving to our wonderful supporters and SSARF Family!

As we gather around the table to give thanks, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. Your unwavering support and dedication to our mission have made a tremendous difference in the lives of so many animals.

Because of you, we are able to provide love, shelter, and care to those in need. Together, we've given countless furry friends a second chance at life, and for that, we are truly thankful.

‘Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all through our place,
Not an animal was hungry, as they all had some space
For those we have rescued, these babies are warm, with thanks to volunteers, whose love is the norm.
May their time here be short, while their days here are long,
We pray for a foster, they’ve done nothing wrong.
If their past brought them pain and people who were hateful,
They are getting what they need now, and for that we are grateful❤️
