He gets along well with other dogs but may guard his toys, so he'd do best as the only pet—unless you’re experienced with that. This morning, our volunteers arrived to find two tiny kittens dumped outside in a crate.

Abandoning animals is illegal and cruel. Rescues like ours are overwhelmed, stretched thin, and struggling to keep up with the constant flow of abandoned pets.

Bubbles is on the mend and successfully made it through surgery! A big thank you goes out to the orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Canabal, for stepping in and performing the femur fracture repair that will greatly impact the life of this small puppy, previously affected by mistreatment. Meet Charlie, a one-year-old brindle Pitbull with a heart as golden as his eyes. He’s sweet, smart, and looking for a home where he can finally feel safe and loved.

Charlie’s start in life is a mystery—he was found stuck under the floorboards of a building under renovation. No one knows how he got there, but thanks to a patient foster, he was coaxed out and has been learning what it means to be loved.

In just three weeks, Charlie has proven to be incredibly smart. He’s mastered sit, lay down, stay, and even his own version of “roll over” (which is mostly just a request for belly rubs). He’s potty trained, doesn’t jump on furniture, and isn’t a drooler. More than anything, he just wants to be near his person.

Charlie does well with other dogs (cats are unknown), and he needs an adopter or foster who will continue building his confidence and showing him that the world isn’t so scary. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Charlie is ready to be your best friend.

Sadly, we find ourselves once again begging and reaching out to our compassionate community for support. Tonight a state trooper witnessed a heart-wrenching incident where a cat was on thebturnpike and hit by a car.

Without hesitation, the trooper picked up and brought the kitty to us, seeking urgent care to save the cats life. Where could we send him to get help? The cat needed immediate care.

The cat is now named Botello. He has suffered a severe fracture needing amputation once he is stable. He’s very beat up and having a hard Tome eating. He has excellent pain management.

As you know, our resources are so stretched thin as we are already caring for two dogs with serious injuries. We are overwhelmed but determined to provide the best care possible. This is where we humbly ask for your help.

If you can, please consider making a donation. Every dollar counts and will go directly towards medical expenses and care for our animals. If donating is not possible, we completely understand and would greatly appreciate you sharing our plea with others who might be able to help.

📢 URGENT UPDATE: Sweet Camo Needs Your Help! 💔🐾

Meet Camo, a tiny fighter who has already endured more pain than any puppy ever should. He was the first puppy dumped at our rescue two days ago. We found him scared to death, cowering by our fence.

Today he wasnt breathing right and when we took him back to the vet today. He has pneumonia and will need to be hospitalized for theee days.

Little Camo has fractures in his jaw, ribs, pelvis (on both sides), and legs, AND, now also has PNEUMONIA!. Each of these injuries has a different healing time, meaning this wasn’t a single accident… someone was constantly hurting him. 💔

Right now, Camo is staying at the vet for at least three days as he begins his recovery. He’s been in so much pain that he even stopped eating. 💔 But we refuse to give up on him. He deserves love, safety, and a future free from suffering.

We are heartbroken over what Camo has endured, but we are determined to give him the second chance he deserves. 💙 Every moment of his recovery will be a battle, and we need your help to ensure he gets the medical care he desperately needs.

This week has been incredibly challenging but we have many many dogs who need placement with either a foster or adopter…

Meet Dave and Mars, two adorable Chihuahuas looking for their forever home! These sweet pups were surrendered when their owner had to move, and now they’re hoping to find a loving family. While they are not from the same litter, they did come from the same household and have grown up together. We would love for them to be adopted together, but they are also available for adoption separately.

Dave is the epitome of a sweet, social pup. At just one year old, he loves everyone and everything! He’s easygoing, affectionate, and ready to shower you with love. Dave is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a happy and friendly dog.

Mars is a bit of a spicy character, but in the best way! At two years old, he’s full of personality and loves attention. Mars does have a small quirk—he resource guards his bed and sometimes random items. He’s looking for an experienced Chihuahua owner who can help him work through this behavior and navigate his little quirks. Mars is precious and affectionate, but he needs someone who understands his needs and is ready to give him the patience and care he deserves.

These two may have different personalities, but they both bring so much joy. Whether you choose to adopt them together or separately, they will make an amazing addition to the right home. Please share widely so we can help Dave and Mars find their forever family! ♥️

This poor baby got dumped at our shelter and was found by one of our volunteers walking one of our dogs. He’s extremely emaciated, scared, and can’t walk with his back leg. The heartbreak is too much on a good day for these animals. We have more dogs at the shelter than we ever have before. Now this little one needs us urgently. X-rays already set, on the heels of finding out that Camo has two broken legs in three places from abuse. When will people prevent this suffering by fixing their pets?! We are killing ourselves making it as affordable as possible but we need to pay our bills too! We humbly ask for your help! Meet TITO & GOOSE - Biscuit Brothers! We adopted these two boys out as kittens and they were returned 3 years later when their owners decided to surrender them to help a cat and kittens. They were completely shut down and terrified for a long time but with tons of love and patience from our volunteers, they are now happy, affection-seeking and friendly boys. Adopt these handsome guys and you can open your own biscuit factory! We are in Broward County, Florida!

Recently, a wonderful soul was impacted by our post sharing a long-term resident at the shelter and said she was “making it her mission” to get this cat adopted. Lo and behold, we now have an app! 8 schnauzers just rescued from one home

A family of eight schnauzers was just rescued from a home in Miami where they were living in challenging conditions. These dogs are unfortunately suffering from severe matting and were infested with fleas and other parasites, which had clearly impacted their well-being. Our rescue team acted swiftly to ensure the schnauzers received immediate, necessary medical attention and will be groomed tomorrow Efforts are now underway to provide them with a clean, safe environment and the care they need to recover and thrive. The goal is to eventually find loving homes for each of them, where they can enjoy a better quality of life. Fosters help us save lives and get first chance to adopt.
