Marsha was amazing from the moment we met her. The dogs instantly responded to her presence and it was clear that she understood the ways to communicate with dogs without saying a word or even having a command. She inspired confidence in both me and my husband from the minute we met. We worked with her because we knew that her program would provide both initial training as well as support ongoing for the life of our pups. It was important to me that we had some continuity and not just someone who came and provided lessons for us humans and then no guarantee of an ongoing relationship. The reality is when you have issues with your dogs, even the most wonderful dogs, it is about changing you and your behavior, not the dogs. The dogs will respond to you if you are doing all of the right things. It is hard to know where to start sometimes and I know I was overwhelmed. I have two small children and two dogs and I love them all; managing everything at the same time can be difficult. However, Marsha provided real tools in real time that made such a difference almost immediately. Even our three year-old is participating in the training with the dogs to make sure that he can grant himself space when he needs that from the dogs , we still have a little bit of work to do and it is a never-ending process to communicate without as many words as we are used to with the dogs, but at the end of the day, they are happier, we are happier and all everybody is safer. Our dogs did not have major issues, but their behavior, their obedience and manners needed work. We did not know how to demonstrate leadership with them despite being owners for the majority of our lives. Small changes over time make the biggest difference and the recommendations Marsha provided allowed us to see instant results and also a path to continue improving. She even understood the family dynamics of being parents of two young children, and what was feasible or not for us as far as our training and managing our expectations of what we could do. We know we are not alone in this journey and we know that Marsha cares just as much for our dogs as we do. Celebrating National Retriever Day with Bark Busters and your dogs can be a fun and memorable experience. Here are some ideas on how you can celebrate this day together:

Training Session: Use this day as an opportunity to engage in a training session with your retriever(s). Practice commands, reinforce good behavior, or work on specific training goals with the guidance of your Bark Busters trainer.

Outdoor Adventure: Take your retriever(s) on an outdoor adventure. Whether it's a hike, a beach trip, or a local park, retrievers love to explore and play in natural environments.

Fetch and Retrieval Games: Since retrievers are known for their retrieving abilities, engage them in some fetch games. You can use a ball or a favorite toy to play fetch and let them show off their natural skills.

Donate or Volunteer: Consider donating to or volunteering with a local animal rescue or shelter in honor of National Retriever Day. It's a meaningful way to give back to dogs in need.
