Celebrating National Retriever Day with Bark Busters and your dogs can be a fun and memorable experience. Here are some ideas on how you can celebrate this day together:

Training Session: Use this day as an opportunity to engage in a training session with your retriever(s). Practice commands, reinforce good behavior, or work on specific training goals with the guidance of your Bark Busters trainer.

Outdoor Adventure: Take your retriever(s) on an outdoor adventure. Whether it's a hike, a beach trip, or a local park, retrievers love to explore and play in natural environments.

Fetch and Retrieval Games: Since retrievers are known for their retrieving abilities, engage them in some fetch games. You can use a ball or a favorite toy to play fetch and let them show off their natural skills.

Donate or Volunteer: Consider donating to or volunteering with a local animal rescue or shelter in honor of National Retriever Day. It's a meaningful way to give back to dogs in need.

Playdate: If your retriever has doggie friends, organize a playdate at a dog park or in your backyard. Socializing with other dogs can be a great way for them to celebrate the day.

The main thing? Have fun!

The good news? Leash reactivity can be managed and improved with patience, training, and consistency. 🏋️‍♂️📚 Bark Busters can help you and your dog have a calm path to follow. 👍😀

One of the many differentiating factors of the Bark Busters training is our ability to get to the root of the behavior. Once we can identify the cause or trigger, we can work on turning bad behaviors into good.

This is a great list to read/understand!

Socialization isn’t always about “socializing” as much as it is being able to handle itself in social settings.

Today is and here's a great tip on leash walking: Proper leash walking is an important part of establishing a good relationship with your dog. Keep your leash loose, as a tight leash will only encourage your pup to pull. If your dog is regularly taking you for a walk then you've got some work to do!

Admit it, caring for your pet can make you happy too. Science is working on why.
