Day 7. We are fully up and returning to somewhat "normal".

I wanted to take a moment and thank some people.

-The linemen that are still working round the clock to get society back to a level of civilization.
- All the helpers - the churches, the organizations, the earthly authorities, the people of Laurens that have come together.
- MY STAFF - These guys are a blessing and I am so thankful that we have a group that cares about each other and cares about our community. They have showed up and taken care of business this week!
- Trinity Ridge Animal Health for storing and protecting our perishables this week and being the colleagues we were meant to be.
- Westview Pet Services for constantly taking my calls and showing up each time with speedy and compassionate service.
- Our clients - for their patience and cooperation. We love you and your pets!

Day 6 1/2 ... power back on! We are fully up this afternoon and working hard to tidy up. Please still emergency only this afternoon. We are working hard to contact everyone with an appointment this week- past and future. Please be patient as we are seeing a lot of sick, injured and lost pets right now.

We have recovered an injured dog from in front of Milliken plant on Highway 14. Brown male dog with collar, no tags or chip. Sadly, he had suffered a devastating injury and we have helped him the best way we could. Our phones are up, if this is your dog, please call to claim. We would like for someone to have closure.

Our friends at Trinity Ridge Animal Hospital are up and running and we can communicate and help with their needs at this time. I'm here till noon if you have a pet emergency. I can do basic care and scan for chips. No power/no phone. Service spotty.

Update. Sounds like power may be out a few days. We will try to contact everyone when we're back up.
I plan to be here tomorrow morning (saturday) from 9a-12p to do what I can for any animal emergency. Thing is with no power, vaccines and stuff have been moved off site. So. That's said, if it's not back on Monday, we will have to figure out what to do.
Please be patient. One more day of Rabies vaccine clinic can be rescheduled. My priority will be safety of staff, clients and pets.

Alright guys. It's not safe out here. Roads blocked all across town. Power out. Phone and internet down. We are officially CLOSED today.
I made it in to take care of the boarding pets. They are safe and cared for.

Due to the expected severe weather from Hurricane Helene, we will be extending our Free Rabies Clinic through Monday Sept 30.

We plan to be here for regular business tomorrow and Friday, but will be monitoring the situation. Please be safe and if you feel that you can't safely come to your scheduled appointment -- please call and let us know!

Hi friends! We are hoping you all can help us. We have loaned all of our feral cat traps out and they haven't been returned. Some have been gone for quite some time.
