Had to bring one of my sanctuary seniors, Bernie, to hwy78 vet today. Bad neck injury. He got into it with a younger dog. It was going to be more, but i basically begged so the bill is 1500 for sedation and stitches. My regular vet is closed until monday. Please help. Any amount is appreciated. Im picking him up so pics to follow. I hate asking but the $900 spent on the dumped senior poodle boy Romeo cleaned out our back up. Ive had 2 neuters since then also. Are there any sports grills or similar places open today serving Thanksgiving dinner and showing the game? We'd like to yell and holler at the TV with other people and eat Thanksgiving dinner so I'm looking for suggestions!

Found tied to a pole in a WPB Park. Of course this baby is scared😪. Able to be looped and walked but did not like being muzzled in clinic for processing 😭

All Celine needs is love. Please someone give her a chance🙏🏻. A FOSTER or ADOPTER will save her life🙏🏻‼️🙏🏻

This stunning looking girl was found tied to a pole in a park in WPB.

Behaviors Observed: Very fearful, thrashing and continued signs of FAS.

Clinic staff reported that she was easily loop leashed and took her for a walk. They walked her to the clinic for processing but she was reactive to being muzzled and she thrashes when her face is touched.

Volunteer Notes: Friendly yet frightened. Volunteer was able to pet her a little bit.
She would rather be in the kennel versus the yard.

Request to Rescues: This beautiful girl needs urgent rescue due to her very fearful behavior. She will need a loving home with someone who can give her lots of time, space and TLC as she decompresses and learns to be with people. She may need to work with a professional trainer on her social skills prior to being in an adoption program. Due her behavior here, she is sadly not a candidate for our public adoption program.

One of my rescue dogs who got adopted lost his mom last year. Her boyfriend's family{?} kept Dasher. Somehow he ended up in the Plano shelter as a stray. They traced his chip to Dallas Animal Shelter and ME. {His chip did not xfr properly to FiNano.} they called me. I sent them 6 pages of proof including his chip number, screenshots of his adopter's application, and his petstablished file. They went ahead and returned him to the person who allowed him to get loose. now that's not to say I wouldn't have gone ahead and placed him back with them because he knows them and he is a senior. however y'all need to be aware that Plano has decided they don't have to follow rules and they're just going to adopt the dog out to whomever they want. forget about the fact that I am the one who spent money on that dog and adopted him out very carefully. and it's in the adoption contract that the dog has to be returned to the rescue if the owner should pass away. y'all better be careful dealing with Plano Animal services because they don't deal on the level. I'm so angry I can't even tell you. and I had to file a public information act request to get the adopter's name and number for a dog who is mine.

Cammie was an"unadoptable" dog we had in the rescue. Among her issues was her love of treats, ALL the treats, and her unwillingness to share. Colleen and Cort came all the way from Iowa to meet her and rescue her. She hasn't completely gotten over all her quirks but after lots of love and good care she's doing way better and coming up on 7 years in her forever home. Don't you love folks who give the hard ones a chance? Don't you love when it works out? Does she have the sweetest little face ever? ♥️

Buy your pure bred dog from a pet store? Here are the mamas on their way to be bred....again! Dog breeding is big business for the Amish and the conditions these dogs live in are horrific. These poor dogs were shaking uncontrollably. Stop buying dogs from stores. Stop buying dogs off the internet. If you can’t visit where your puppy is coming from then you are supporting puppy mills. Stop being part of the problem and Adopt....Don't Shop.
