We all look in the mirror everyday. We don’t see what we should. So today is the day to do just that!

👉🏼 National Compliment Your Mirror Day.

Daisy & Axel are complimenting the mirror they took outside this morning.

Axel is a ham as it is, so he said, “Hey there handsome! Here’s a kiss for you.”

Daisy on the other hand, looked at the mirror and thought her toe nails would be pretty if she got them painted.

When you look in the mirror today, see how special you are. See what you have to offer.

Nevermind the wrinkles, frown lines, hair color, things you find that aren’t attractive to you…take a minute to see what other people see in you.

When people tell you your good traits, those are the things you should see about yourself.

Try it today, just today.

Put a mirror in front of your pet and see what they do. 😝

Did you have waffles for breakfast?

Maybe get some ice cream and scoop it into a waffle cone.

Today is Waffle Iron Day -

Waffle irons have been around for many centuries. The 1st waffle iron patent was given to Cornelius Swartwout of Troy, NY in 1869.

This spicy little chef, Strawberry, is using Axel to see if the waffle iron is hot enough for her waffles this morning.

Public service announcement -

Axel & Charlie are ready for all the noise coming in the next few days…if not starting tonight!

You have less than a week to check your fencing, gate latches, low areas, get tranquilizers if needed and grab the headgear.

Those of us that live in areas that allow fireworks get ready, you’ll will be hearing them start at dusk and possibly going until after midnight.

If your pet(s) can’t handle the noise, please be prepared!

Make sure your chipped dog’s info is current, make sure your phone number is on their collar, and set up your pet’s favorite hiding place so they can hide out.

Being aware of what could happen ahead of
4 July celebrations may keep your dog and other pets safe.

In honor of National Pets in Film Day -

Today is to celebrate all types of pets that have starred or made an appearance in a film.

Here are some dogs that have been in films, Toto (of course), Rin Tin Tin, Benji, Lassie, Marley, and H***h.

The boys are recreating a short version of ‘Best In Show’. Have you seen that movie?

Axel - “Everyone take your places! ACTION!” as he sits under the umbrella with a megaphone, playing the director.

Axel - “CUT! Cut!! Can someone get the dog to stand up? Who is the talent rep for this dog?”

Rascal is pegged as the cinematographer, he watches as Odie, the dog, moves from sit position to laying on his back. Rascal tells Axel his choice of actors isn’t that great. (It’s a low budget film.)

Axel - “That’s A Wrap! I’m done!”

In honor of International Ax Throwing Day -

Ax throwing is an enjoyable pastime that reduces tension! You can enjoy ax throwing with family & friends.

Understand that the main goal of ax throwing is to hit the bullseye on a large target.

Ax throwing has been said to have started by loggers in the 19th century.

Ax throwing competitions started as far back as the 1940’s. The World Ax Throwing League was created in 2017 by interested people from Canada, Brazil, Republic of Ireland, and the U.S.

Axel took his ax out to practice today, ‘Edith’ volunteered to be his target with an apple on her head being the bullseye. 🫣

Have you ever thrown an ax? If you’d like to try and learn how to throw axes, search online, there are a lot of facilities that have ax throwing lessons and times for you to reserve a lane to throw axes.

Hey hey…It’s National Eyewear Day!

Even though Rogue, Muse, and Axel are sporting shades outside today, today is set up to remind you about the care of your eyes.

Sunglasses are good to wear while the sun is shining, but you really should get a comprehensive eye exam every year…or 2.

The eye exams not only help with your vision, but these exams can help detect health issues like glaucoma, cataracts, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.

If you need to have help with your vision, it’s been said that over 60% of adults in the U.S. wear corrective glasses and/or contacts.

In honor of Hot Air Balloon Day -

Rascal & Axel wanted to take their hot air balloon out for a quick flight.

Axel got into alittle trouble, see what happens when you screw around in the basket? 😝

Rascal called for help! Sadie came out and got positioned to put some stability under Axel. All was good.

If you have an interest in hot air balloons or would like to see one in person, there are a few in the area this year.

It’s Global Running Day -

Today is for those of you who run, and those of you who think about running. No matter how far you run, today is the day to get out and stretch those legs. Get moving!

Dillon is always…always running. The boys are trying to stay out of his way.

It was going so well, until Dillon thought Axel wasn’t running fast enough. 😳

Do any of you go for runs with your dog?

Or do you just chase them around the house when they’ve grabbed something they shouldn’t have? 🤣

Axel loved the blue dino , it has wings! 😆
