The demand is such in our area, where we need to use the room formerly used as the self serve for full service grooming. As such, we have decided to officially close The Village Groomer Self Serve - Lawrence. Thank you for your patronage and we look forward to assisting your pets in other ways in the future.
We have had a lot of fun with our self-serve the past year and wish to inform our customers that The Village Groomer Self Serve - Lawrence will be temporarily closed until August 5th, 2023 while we make some updates to our facilities.
It's wild what 6 months and a little hard work can do. Thank you to all of our customers who have used The Village Groomer Self Serve - Lawrence the past 6 months! We hope you have enjoyed our grooming room and look forward to seeing you again soon 🐶🐾

The Village Groomer - Lawrence will host a donation drive to benefit the Al-Van Humane Society this Holiday Season. Help us help the pets who won't have a home this Christmas, by giving a small donation of towels, dry dog food, wet dog food, cat food, pet toys, medicine, or any other gift you think would help. Any customer that donates will receive a free teeth or ear cleaning during their appointment. If you would like to donate, please bring items and place them under our tree at 117 North Paw Paw Street in downtown Lawrence, Michigan.

As per CDC guidelines, we are to isolate as much as possible for 5 days since symptoms began and then wear masks another 5 days thereafter. We will follow this guidance and reopen our self serve room on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022. We will be thoroughly cleaning our facilities on Tuesday, September 20th. Should you have an appointment and need or want to reschedule, we will accommodate those requests to the best of our ability. Please contact [email protected] for rescheduling. Effective immediately, The Village Groomer and Village Groomer Self Serve is temporarily closed for the remainder of the week, as Bruce has tested positive for COVID-19. Bruce received both vaccinations and his booster, so we are hoping that he will be able to fight through this. We will be calling people throughout the day to reschedule their appointments.

If you see this being circulated in our area, please be aware that not taking your dogs for walks, skipping their veterinarian and grooming appointments, and isolating them is NOT a healthy choice for your pet.
Yes, there is an illness that is being seen in canines in Northern Michigan.
With that said, there have been ZERO reported cases in our area and as pet owners, we must not panic and isolate our dogs. The nearest case was 253 miles away in Otsego County, Michigan - NOT to be confused with Otsego, the town near us.
Please DO NOT take the below advice and DO NOT stop taking your dog to their veterinarian appointments. Having a clean coat and up to date vaccinations helps your canine companion to have a healthy immune system and vaccinations against these illnesses. The responsible thing to do as pet owners at this time is to be aware of it and continue taking your dog on walks and to the appointments that help protect them against these illnesses.
