We have received an overwhelming number of calls, messages, and emails from individuals concerned about the welfare of a shepherd found near 4th and Indiana with severe injuries to all four of his legs and other parts of his body. The dog is currently in the care of the Lawrence Humane medical team and we are working to assess and address his extensive injuries. Although it’s too early to comment on his prognosis, we are doing everything we can for him. He is currently in surgery as our vets work to control bleeding from his most significant injury. We don’t know the full extent of his medical needs yet or what costs may be associated.

Many of you have asked how you can contribute towards his care, which means the world to us. If you are so inclined, please make a donation here and we will use those donations to help this beautiful shepherd boy and others like him who have critical medical needs.
