Meet Dennis. Dennis is a long-haired and handsome boy that we met last week. Dennis loves snacks and toy mice, and also knows how to play fetch with his owners. Dennis is a five-star kitty who proves that you can be good looking AND smart, and we're so happy to have met him!

Being mobile comes with its share of risks. Today, we are thankful for four things:

1️⃣ That everyone is ok!

2️⃣ K’s Tire coming to help us out with two new tires at a moments notice

3️⃣ Our understanding/patient clients when we experience delays!

4️⃣ That the tread cap did no damage to any of our equipment underneath, or the fiberglass body of our beautiful mobile clinic

Thank you to all of our wonderful clients for your support and for your understanding when things don’t quite go as planned!

Cold tolerance can vary from pet to pet based on their coat, body fat, activity level, and health. Like people, cats and dogs are susceptible to frostbite and hypothermia.

Signs of hypothermia include, whining, shivering, seemingly anxious, slows down, or stops moving. Frostbite is harder to detect, and may not be fully recognized until after the damage is done. If you suspect your pet has hypothermia or frostbite, contact your vet immediately.

Since the U.S. outbreak of avian influenza A (H5N1) in dairy cattle began in March 2024, dozens of cats are known to have contracted the virus, including barn and feral cats, indoor cats, and big cats in zoos and in the wild (e.g., mountain lions, tigers, leopards, and bobcats). Cats were already known to be susceptible to the H5N1 virus, with several feline cases linked to poultry or wild bird exposure before the cattle outbreak began.

Cats appear to be particularly susceptible to severe illness, often resulting in death. The good news is that infection can be prevented with a few simple practices. Please see the info below and reach out right away if you're concerned your cat may have been exposed.

In honor of today being National Chocolate Covered Anything Day we wanted to share this info from the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center showing how much chocolate can be toxic for your dog. If your dog gets into chocolate please reach out to determine if care is needed! We can see things like vomiting and diarrhea, pancreatitis, increased heart rate and even seizures with a chocolate ingestion and early care is key!
