We would like to introduce Lawrence alum, Skylar Drum. She has recently spent time in the animal hospital completing a preceptorship. We always enjoy having Skylar back home!
I always knew I wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age. When I got older, I spent any free time I had when I wasn’t competing in sports, working at Bradley Animal Hospital. Here I gained an even greater love for veterinary medicine and learned many essential skills from Dr. Bradley and all the highly experienced people there, who continue to help me on my journey today. After graduating with a B.S. in Biology at the University of Central Missouri, I was lucky to be accepted into the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine to continue working toward my dream career. I have really enjoyed my time at MU taking care of all my animal patients and learning as much information as possible before I graduate in 2025. It can be challenging at times, but I have a great support system of family, friends, and my dog who always have my back. In the future, I hope to become a small animal general practice veterinarian and provide my patients with the best care possible! ~ Skylar
