Lawrence Humane Society's Crisis Pet Retention (CPR) program has provided resources to pet owners experiencing crises relating to poverty, houselessness, job loss, or other challenges since October 2020. We know that financial circumstances are not indicative of the capacity to love and care for a pet. Over the last few years, we've been able to keep thousands of pets and people together despite tough situations, ensuring that families are able to stay together and animals don't enter the shelter needlessly. If you would like to support this program, you can donate at lawrencehumane.org/donate and click the "Crisis Pet Retention" on the drop-down list!

Description: He is a small dog he is a snoodle he has very and black hair my phone is destroyed and I don't have any pictures but if you look on my Facebook account Brittany Himes Crowther I have several on there please help me he is a sweet boy and I need to find him he is black and grey with a little white he has a mustache and he is a kind kind dog please!! My husband will never forgive me

* NOTE: This service is only provided for residential cats within the Lyon County area.

The Lola Love Fund is a grant program by the Street Cats Club which provides free spay/neuter services for low-income cat owners.

Just a friendly reminder to NEVER give animals away for free! Giving any pet away is misguided.

People tend not to value what they don't pay for. If you charge a nominal fee of $50-$100 or more for an animal, the new owner is more likely to take their commitment to the pet seriously.

It is also highly recommended to fix your animal beforehand to ensure it won’t contribute to the overpopulation of cats!

Remember: A free pet is a disposable pet, which is not something we should strive for! 🫶
