Our IEA team and horses had a great time at Foxrun today! Shout out to both the high school and middle school teams for taking 1st place today! On to tomorrow.

We had a great time celebrating a wonderful season with our barn family last weekend at the Lake Michigan Hunter Jumper Association Banquet. We are very proud at the growth of our horses and riders all season! This year was a big growth year in our association, thank you to everyone who came all season! Hold tight for all of the year end highlights below. ⬇️

⭐️ Basic Ring Highlights :

Arlo Parker & Sir Percy was Champion in both Walk-trot Equitation & Hunter

Nilla Wafer & Briley Murphy-Dubay were champion in Walk trot Crossrails

Beetle Juice & Zoey Davis Championed in both the Crossrails Hunter & Equitation divisions.

Savannah Sculfield pulled a Reserve Champion in Crossrail Equitation

Allison Layman earned a 3rd in the Crossrail Hunter division

Cloe Johnson and Ellie Enchanted were Reserve Champion in the Crossrail Hunter division.

Zoa Vandermeeden earned a 6th in Maiden Medal

Dundee & Shelby Jorriy were 3rd in the Novice Hunter division

Kismet's Heels & Jenna Block earned 5th in TIP Walk-Trot Crossrails

Nilla Wafer & Autumn Johnloz were 6th in the basic ring Pony Hunters

Snickers Bar & River Reich were 5th in the basic ring Pony Hunters

⭐️ Hunter Ring & Equitation Highlights

Zoe Lienwand and Lovato were Champion in the Memorial Masterclass, 2'6" Special Hunter, Special Medal, and Special Equitation divisions.

Sylvia Martin & Blueberry Muffin were Champion in both the Limit Equitation and Medal divisions.

Charlotte Wilson & Willing and Able Championed in Limit Hunter

Kennedy Posthumus & Every Kiss Begins with K won the Handy Hunter Division

Sarah Stancati & Macho Man were Champion in the 3' Low Hunter and the TIP Low Hunters. Sarah also earned a 6th in Schooling Hunter with her horse, Guilty Pleasure.

Kali Edwards & Monkey Do earned Champion in the 2'9" Open Hunters

Violet Eavey & Fly Me to the Moon 4th in 2'6" Special Hunters

Harper Babb and Rocket Man were Reserve Champion in the Handy Hunter

Kendra Edwards & Forever smile were Reserve Champion in the Low Hunter division

Thank you to all who participated in our mock IEA/IHSA show today! We had lots of great rides, laughter, and time with friends on this beautiful fall day 😊 we are excited for a great season!

Exciting announcement! Cedar Lodge has added an Adult only IEA date, Saturday 11/15. Did you know that we have over 15 adults taking lessons at Cedar Lodge? Here is your chance to shine! This will be an AM/PM show, two shows in one day so double the points!. Adult IEA is a quickly growing demographic in IEA and our region is no exception. We haven't offered IEA to our adult riders because we really couldn't gaurantee offering it at our regular shows, but now we can!

Why should you join?
-It's a cheap way of showing: 60.00 membership to IEA. Classes are 55.00 a class for one or two classes depending on whether you jump or not. There is a team fee and coaching fee.
-You don't have to own a horse and the work before hand is minimal
-We plan on being done by early afternoon.
-It's a super way to share something else with the adults that you meet every week for your lessons.
-It's a GREAT way to network with other adults in southwest MI and beyond that are loving horses and horse sport.
-Anyone from walk/trot to high jumping can participate. Highest jumping class is 2', but there is a class for those not jumping as well.
-21 and older
-If you decide you love, love, love it after these two shows, GREAT! You can show up to 5 and gain points to qualify for regionals, which will be the final show for adults this season. You will be welcome to go to any of the IEA shows Cedar Lodge has on their calender, or CL will set you up with a proxy coach so you can get your 5 shows in!

This should be a real fun time. The judges I've been contacting to hire LOVE the idea of an adult only day. We hope you will join us for a fun, low pressure, day of horse sport. Contact your instructor if you're interested or just sign up!

We are incredibly proud of our horses and riders and their growth last weekend at Lake Effects Horse Shows at Waterloo Hunter/Jumper Shows! Not only did they all ride well, but they also supported and cheered for each other the entire weekend!

Riding highlights included:

⭐️ Demi and Zoe laid down a beautiful round in the 2’6” Non Pro Hunter Derby riding to a 2nd place finish. Yasmin and Monaco also had a wonderful round in the Non Pro Derby riding to 4th place.

🥇 Zoe and Demi were Champion in the Limit Equitation & Reserve Champion in the Children’s hunters. They also won the mini Maclay and earned a 2nd in the LEHS Mini Medal.

🏅 Yasmin and Monoco were Reserve Champion in the Adult Hunters, and earned a 2nd place finish in the LEHS Adult Medal.

🥇 Sylvia and Blueberry were Champion in Novice Equitation, and earned 1sts in the Novice Eq, Pony Hunter, AND the Novice hunter flat classes! They also earned a 2nd in the Novice Eq over fences in a competitive class.

⭐️ Madison and Champagne Divinity made HUGE green pony improvements together and earned two 4th places in large flat classes in Novice Equitation & Maiden Hunter. They also laid down a beautiful round earning 4th in the Maiden Hunter OF class.

🥇 Clara and Puggles won a Children's Hunter over fences class with a great round and a earned 2nd in the Limit Equitation flat! They also rode to a 3rd place in the LEHS Mini Maclay.

We cannot thank our parents and riders enough for such a wonderful weekend. We are lucky to have such a wonderful Cedar Lodge family of students, parents, and horses! Watching growth from every horse and rider combination this season has been incredible. Next up: the Cedar Lodge LMHJA August Horse show!
