Tonight is the first round of pet photos with Santa! Stop by Lawrence Humane Society from 5:30-7:30pm with your pet to capture a holiday memory & do some good for 🐾❤️

A digital gallery will be sent to you via email a few days after the session. First-come, first-serve, and no appointments or sign-ups necessary. They will accept cash, card, or Venmo. All proceeds benefit the 6,500+ animals who enter their doors every year!

🎃 Halloween Pet Safety Tips! 🎃

Keep your furry friends safe and stress-free this Halloween with these essential tips:

👻 Watch the Treats – Candy is for kids, not pets! Chocolate, xylitol (found in sugar-free gum), and other ingredients are toxic to pets. Store candy bowls out of reach, and remind any little trick-or-treaters to keep their treats to themselves!

🕯️ Decorate Carefully – Candles, pumpkins, and spooky decor can be a hazard. Keep lit candles and glow sticks out of paw’s reach to avoid accidental burns, spills, or breakage.

🍬 Costume Caution – If your pet is dressing up, make sure the costume fits comfortably, doesn’t limit movement, vision, or breathing, and doesn’t have small pieces they could chew or swallow.

🎉 Reduce the Spook Factor – Strangers at the door can stress out pets. Keep them secure in a quiet room away from the door to prevent any unexpected escapes or anxiety.

👀 ID & Microchip – With the door opening often, a curious pet might slip out. Make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up-to-date, just in case.

📣 New Pet Friend 📣

Meet Foxy the axolotl! But what the heck is an axolotl anyway?? The axolotl is a salamander that is native to Mexico and endangered in the wild, but is growing more and more popular as an aquarium pet. Axolotls are unusual among amphibians because they don't undergo metamorphosis and have amazing regenerative abilities.

📣 NEW PET FRIEND 📣

🐶🐾 Meet Lina the Corgi! She's happy, spunky, floofy, and fun. We were long-time caregivers for her sister and brother who passed recently, but we're so happy to see her come into the picture to ease our broken hearts. She's learning how to dog and already listens well despite being so curious. We're looking forward to making lots of memories with this sweet girl. ❤️

We had so much fun at Paws 🐾 and Pumpkins 🎃 on Tuesday evening! Thanks to Northside Social for inviting us. It was great to hang with our friends: Muddy Waters Studio, Less is More Lawrence & Art Of The Groom and raise money 💰 for Lawrence Humane Society !!! There were so many great dog costumes that entered the contest. 🐶🤎👻💀

Ben and I tag teamed a quick potty out on Saturday with Jack and Charlie. The sun was shining ✨️ 💛 🌞 and we had a lot of fun playing in the yard. Charlie knows no stranger, and Jack takes a minute to warm up, but I was giving pets and getting kisses 💋😘 in no time! 🐾🐶
