We are VERY excited for the return of Hawks & Hounds! This is the first fundraising event for Lawrence Humane Society of 2025 and Lawrence Pet Friends' first sponsorship of the year 🎉

Join us on Saturday, February 1st, for the best KU Men's Basketball watch party in town at Venue 1235! Enjoy the game on a huge screen, with delicious drinks (alcoholic and non), and food from Taco Zone 🤤

We will have SO 👏 MANY 👏 PUPPIES 🐶🐾 to cuddle and we'll have a few photo opportunities so your puppy bliss can be documented 😉 There will be activities for the kids (and adults, of course!) such as pop-a-shot, dog origami, raffles, and more! Trust us, you will not want to miss this fun event that also supports the 7,000 animals LHS care for every year!

These 2 precious siblings came on as clients in October and we just finished our second round of visits with them, falling even more in love. Meet Pepper the tuxedo, and petite little Coco the tabby 😻❤️🐾

Final stats from our 2024 wrap-up are in!!

We completed 8550 pet sits and had 179 new clients sign up last year. I'm in awe of these numbers, and we hopefully have some big things coming our way for 2025. Thank you, Lawrence, for the love and support you've shown this local, family owned business. We couldn't do this without such an amazing community of animal lovers and pet friends getting the word out about our services.

Take us back to warmer temperatures,🌡when there was grass on the ground and not ice. 🧊 We love spending as much time outside with our friends as possible, but of course, we want to keep pets and sitters safe. Fingers crossed 🤞 for a big snow ❄️ melt these next few days!

🐾 Good Boy Alert 🚨 Meet Yukon and Hermie! These 2 brothers love each other but couldn't be more different. One is pure love, and one is pure bark. 😆

We don't get to see them very often, but when we do, we cherish that time throughout the 8+ years they've been clients. It's 20 mins of enjoying those ears, tongues 👅 and underbite 💗🐶💕

This is our new buddy, Dale.

Dale is polydactyl, which means he's a cat with extra toes on his paws. He basically has thumbs 👍 which means 20% more beans. 😂🫘

Shout out to Ben, Lauren, and Juli, who made sure all pets on our roster had care during the snow ❄️ storm this past week! True animal heroes 🐾❤️

We were able to get to all the pets on Saturday evening when the ice began so that we could put out extra food and water. Then, on Sunday, we condensed all the pet homes into one trip, and Ben made the 5 hour trek out in a loop around Lawrence from West to North to East. Monday, Lauren and Juli shoveled paths to pets and homes to ensure we visited our pet friends.

We appreciate the flexibility and communication of our clients during these 5 days of unknown conditions.
