Sharp K9 Academy A happy dog is one taught how to manage themselves in all situations. Help your dog get those skills with professional training.

What we offer different,

While your dog is boarding and or being trained, they stay in our house with us and are treated as one of our own. This helps build working relationships with you dogs and makes training smoother and more efficient. We have two trainers and each of us only take 2 to 3 dogs total at one time. This way the dogs are getting the most out of our time while with us.

Dari Sharp has 21 years experience in dog training. 10 years in working cattle dogs. 10 years in SAR K9 Training. Sara Alderete has 7 years experience in dog training. She has been a professional dog groomer for 5 years and SAR K9 handler 2 years

Princess went home this morning. She was in my 6 week board and train program and excelled at her training. Learning something new everyday. Girl has incredible drive and willingness to listen. All you have to do is help her understand what it is you want from her and she grabs that information and runs with it. She has all the potential in the world to do whatever you want with her. Have so much fun with this sweet girl! 🫶🏼

I know how hard it is to afford dog training. Not only is it expensive but most trainers require all $ up front. I have 3 payment plan options. I also offer in person trainings 1 day a week for 4-6 weeks if sending your dog for board and train is out of the budget or you'd miss your dog to much this option is for you! A little bit about your trainer. Share with your friends to help me grow this small business of mine 🫶🏼)

Hi! I'm Dari (pronounced like Dairy) I've been a Search Dog handler since 2011. With my main focus now in Historic Human Remains Detection. My current working K9 is Riley, a 4 year old Chocolate Labrador Retriever and my 5th search dog. I've been training dogs since I was a kid. I was raised around Bird Dogs with my very good friend Carl. Who taught me so very much and made me fall hook, line and sinker into the world of dog training. I then started training cattle dogs at the age of 16. Where I fell hard for the work they do. I couldn't imagine life without a well trained dog at my side and I love to get owners started properly on how to have a happy dog and home. Send me a message if you're interested! I do have payment plans available because I know how hard it is to drop a big chunk of your well earned 💰.

Do you have an issue with your dog wanting to bolt at a passing vehicle? A butterfly? A cat??Can't fix it if you don't expose them to it. Princess and I are sitting in the grass and enjoying this beautiful weather. Watching cars pass by, cats run in the yard chasing falling leaves, dogs barking up the road. She is liking the positive reinforcement when she does the correct thing. Very quickly she has learned to just hang out and enjoy the sounds and breeze. It's a lot more fun than being stressed about all the other things out there. 💜
