We don't usually video at this stage, so this is a rare little peek into the early stages of the young horse backing process that I thought I'd share. This little guy has been sat on exactly six times! He is a very, very good boy, but this is also the result of training that gives the babies confidence. We love our young horses here! Horses often learn the most about dressage outside of the dressage ring! Some of the training horses took advantage of the gorgeous day yesterday and went out to practice managing their own balance, free forward movement, straightness without walls, self-confidence, and so much more! To safely navigate terrain, your horse must be able to use his body with suppleness; he has to reach through the topline, tilt his pelvis, and sit down on his hind end to work on a downhill slope. Get out of the arena while the weather is still good and you'll find great things for both your and your horse's body, mind, and soul. 💚
We are head over heels for this little filly! The plan is to retain her for the breeding program - surely you can see why - but we would entertain the right offer!
