♥️🐾♥️Operation Valentine Doggie Date was an amazing experience for our shelter pups! We want to express our sincerest gratitude to everyone who showed up and took our sweethearts on a date last night. This was a first for us and the community DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! You not only gave the dogs a chance, but you gave your shelter a chance as well and we are so grateful! Every doggie was matched with their perfect date and came back with full bellies, toys, treats, a new outlook on shelter life and ready for bed…it was exactly what they needed and moreover, what each of them deserved. And in case you were wondering, they were all home by 6:30 as requested. 😉

Are you still in need of a Valentine?! Look no further! You don’t have a date and neither do they! This Thursday, February 13th, come and pick up a date with one of our shelter dogs! Pick up is between 4:30 and 5:00 they will need to be back by 6:30. Come on down to your animal shelter and let us play Cupid! We will match you up with your soulmate! All of our dogs are still in need of a date - so come meet your perfect match! Each dog that leaves for a date will be sent with 5 dollars to spend! No dog or human deserves to spend Valentines alone!

Ok y'all, you guys have seriously got to come meet this stunning girl! This is Crystal (peep those eyes😍) What she lacks in weight she makes up with her personality.
When you get to meet her, you will know pure gentle love. She is so calm and affectionate. She truly loves all things. Kids, cats, and other dogs included.

We have gotten so many calls and messages about Grandma Pearl! We wanted to give you guys an update on our sweet little granny.
She was seen by a doctor last week and was deemed in overall good health, considering her age. Her mass has been determined to not be bothering her and is not painful.
She is sooooo sassy! She loves to tattle on everybody's business! She's the first to let us know if a bird has breached the shelter perimeter or if Comet is digging.
She's shy at first when meeting new people, after she warms up to you she is fine with your presence. She is an independent girlie!
She is house broken. No accidents!
We think she will do ok with other dogs that are very low energy. She doesn't like the young and playful ones! Overall, she is a happy little old lady looking for her forever home 🏡 💕

Does anybody have space in their home and hearts for me? I have been hurt by other dogs and let down by people time and time again. I am looking for a home with no other dogs. A nice cat family is what I prefer as I am very well behaved around cats. I am 10+ years old, a little on the chunky side, but not a large dog. I am not sure what breeds I'm mixed with and nobody has a good guess. But I try to be the best girl I can be. I have never really even had a name.

Bow Wow! Comet is an eight-year-old lab mix who would love nothing more than a back porch and a backyard to play in. To lounge around and live the simple life is all he dreams of. He absolutely adores older children, who understand that he just wants to be petted and to have that one on one attention that he has never received. Comet was surrendered to the shelter several months ago after getting shot. He has made a full recovery and just needs a place he can call his forever home. Please share  The animal shelter needs YOUR help! We need 6 strong fosters who arent afraid to take on a puppy! Puppies are alot of work but we need a couple fosters to welcome a cute cuddly puppy into their homes for a little under a month! Animal Care and Control has been invited to a big adoption event in Louisville in May, so we are only asking if you could keep a puppy until then! It would be such a blessing if you can help the shelter whether it’s fostering, donating, or volunteering. Will you accept the challenge of a puppy?
