The Kentucky Humane Society’s CARE-a-Van is bringing FREE cat spay/neuter surgeries to Nelson County residents on Tues, Aug 25th at the Nelson County Justice Center, 200 Plaza Drive (location has been changed from the Fairgrounds to the Justice Center).

Appointments are required and can be made online at:

When booking, please look for Nelson County Justice Center.

Spaces are limited, and if that location does not appear in your search, that means all available appointments for that location are full.

There is a $25 deposit per cat. This deposit will be refunded when you attend your appointment. You may sign up for multiple cats, but each cat must have its own appointment and deposit.

Thank you everyone for continuing to volunteer. You are awesome! Here are a few dates that still need some help. Saturday 8-15 we need someone to help show some new volunteers around. Saturday 8-22 and 8-29 we will need dog and cat cleaning volunteers. We can't do it without our volunteers so thank you all so much for all you do.
