Our final foal arrived this morning and mom and baby are doing fine! We are so thankful. Our first c**t of the year and he's a cutie!

We welcomed baby number 2 at 4:45am this morning! A nice, strong filly by Galeno Tyme, out of Overture AK (Olivi/Wanderkoenig/Salvano). This is mama's first baby and she and baby were absolute champs! Way to go, Cupcake!

Now, some sleep while we wait for our third and final foal in early June! 😀

Foal watch is sooooooo...exciting, tiring, frustrating, tiring, worrisome, and tiring. Did I mention how tired we are?! Lol! Lola has been looking "ready" for almost 2 weeks. Day 344 and counting. Cupcake is at day 338. Praying all goes well with them all! Praying we can keep functioning in our day-to-day lives with so little sleep! 🤣🤣🤣

After two days of what felt like non-stop chores with 12 horses cooped up in the barn, more horses than that outside, hauling water buckets, haying, picking p**p, checking to be sure horses weren't chilled, stock tank heaters not working, dragging hoses, trudging through a foot of snow, awful wind chills, and so on, the question of "WHY DO WE DO THIS?" came to my mind multiple times! But today, with the beautiful sunshine...THiS is why we do it. Is there anything more beautiful than horses running through snow, loving life?! I think not! These creatures inspire something in us, a happiness, that is indescribable. ❤️

We are so sad to hear of Wild Dance's passing. He was quite a stallion. Our condolences to his owners and all who loved him at Eurequine, LLC .

After a long and fruitful life in competition and breeding Hanoverian Elite stallion Wild Dance has passed away. Wild Dance left an extraordinary legacy in both dressage and breeding. Born in 1997, Wild Dance was by Wolkenstein II and out of a State Premium mare Milva by Matcho AA. His pedigree alone indicated his promise, and he more than fulfilled that potential during his career.

At the age of four, Wild Dance placed fourth in the prestigious Bundeschampionate, Germany's national championship for young horses. His talent was further demonstrated by his victory at the 100-day stallion performance test in Germany, where he achieved over 140 points overall, including an impressive score of over 147 in dressage and a 9 in jumping. These accomplishments solidified his versatility as a sport horse, excelling in Dressage and exhibiting his athleticism.

Wild Dance continued to shine in the international dressage arena, notably becoming the Reserve Champion at the Neurenberger BurgPokal Finals in 2005, competing under Hubertus Schmidt. His scores frequently exceeded 75%, demonstrating his ability at the higher levels. He also competed in S-level competitions in Europe with great success and later in Florida.

In his breeding career, Wild Dance made a lasting impact in both performance and with the registries. He sired several State Premium mares, Top Foals, Premium Foals, Gold Medal Foals. Incredibly important he produced offspring that combined excellent movement with his wonderful temperament. With high talent and rideability many successfully competed and are competing at the highest levels in dressage. Many also inherited his jumping ability and are successful in eventing as well as hunter classes.

Wild Dance was a gentle stallion, cherished not only for his competitive achievements but for his effortless beauty, rideability, and wonderful temperament. His contribution to sport and breeding will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and his numerous offspring. We will miss him.
