It disturbs me that Joyce Forbes Brown wants to be mayor of our city.
As a council woman she ruined my home based business just because she could. At the city council meeting the council is given a synopsis of the issues coming up at the meeting with info that could help them make an informed decision on each issue. I was called the night before by a councilman to clear up some things that he wondered about. As a result this member and one other voted for what I needed to be successful in my business. Then Joyce Forbes Brown injected her opinion and accused me of doing things illegally and improper, if she had read the papers she would have known that none of her accusations were true. Apparently the other two council members hadn’t read their papers either and sided with her. She pushed for me to not be able to have employees even though I’m in a agricultural area (the Mayor in Kaysville got his property rezoned to agriculture so he could have employees work at his home) and put restrictions on me so I was unable to properly run my business, forcing me to find another avenue.
She is not concerned with what is good for our community

Please do not vote for Joyce Forbes Brown for Mayor if you live in Layton.
She has no concern for other people's businesses and chides the business for not following the right procedures, she had a packet available to her to read on why my business needed a different kind of zoning and by her comments we could tell that she didn't even read any of the information that the city planning commission had put together for the council.
I will forever be grateful for Scott Freitag for his careful consideration after studying the facts, no one else except one retiring councilwoman understood any of the facts.

Thanks to everyone who use my services and refer their friends.
It's been a tough change to try to run two places, but it is beginning to take shape.
Little dogs or special needs dogs still board at the house but usually need to be dropped off at the Fairfield location.

after $4,000 the fire sprinkler system in the building is now functional and passed inspection... I had temporary occupancy till that was completed and now can have the fire marshall back...THEN I get my business license for the building!!
